People being outside is illegal now apparently
Yeah, some are very disappointed it's not!

Could this potentially lead to a cluster?

    Potentially, yes.

    Realistically, no.

You’d wanna take a break or something you’re getting riled up over nothing. Not good for the head.

    No I’m fine thanks.
I just find your outlook on this hard to believe to be honest.
Are you going to answer my question now?

Ah, you have lost me now. Both situations are the same from a public health point of view... You cannot condemn one and let the other off. IMO.

You can’t compare two incidents when one involved alcohol in an enclosed outside space and one involves the death of a man by a roundabout, seriously like

Can you post evidence of clusters linked to outside gatherings in ireland?

In Ireland no because numbers were low, we are seeing higher numbers particularly in Dublin, so there is potential.
You only have to look at Florida or Texas etc to see this.

Until we see one in Ireland I don’t really care about orange-man land to be honest

No need for personal attacks. I asked you who said outside gathering were illegal.
The only person I’ve seen mention it is you.
Would you like to answer now?

You’re throwing a hissy over people gathering at a roundabout, is it illegal?

You'll just have to accept that other people are not as frightened as you are and are prepared to take reasonable risks in order to get on with their lives.

You do realise both examples you have mentioned raise the risk of spreading potential.
Has your account been hacked by any chance :D

Lol! No ones frightened I’m pointing out the obvious risk here.

Ignore him, it seems like he's trying to draw you out for a banning.

Thank god for the ignore button, I’m not going to lose my head over people gathering to celebrate a persons life at a roundabout.

Both incidents have a couple of hundred people closely standing together outside.

I hate people using phrases like "the virus does not discriminate". But... I didn't realise transmission is not possible when it is a crowd for somebodies death. They shouldn't have bothered banning gatherings at graveyards.

Again I didn’t say anything about something being illegal. That was you twice now.
And it was a non SD crowd with little to no mask wearing at a roundabout just to correct you. ;)

If anything, there is less risk of contracting Covid in an outdoor setting, provided of course that social distancing is maintained - the major risk factors involve spending extended periods in confined areas, and contact with a potentially infected person lasting longer than 15 minutes.

No, they shouldn't have, but they didn't have a good handle on the risks at the time.

Until I see evidence of an outdoor cluster in Ireland I have no issue with it.

Well there isn’t if you SD and wear a mask but the majority didn’t so there is a risk, which has been well publicised since March by......most people with a brain.

A mask is not required in an outdoor setting and as far as I could see people were generally social distancing.

I have no major issue with it, my point is... You cannot say one gathering is wrong while another is okay because of X reason.

That is my only point here. Either all outdoor crowds are to be condemned, or none are. It seems like there are easy targets and others we are not allowed complain about.

BLM protest - grand, sure aren't they just protesting somebodies death.

Dame Lane - bad... Those pesky millennials, hope they are happy when they kill their grandparents.

Charlton send off - grand, sure wasn't he great.

Teenagers hanging around in large groups - bad.. have they no cop on.

But they weren’t look at the joe.ie video. Very little SD.
Anyway enjoy this thread, since I’ve last logged on I see the virus of shouting people down and The policy of positivity for everything has finally taken over.
    Best of luck all.
