I see Harry Potter has crawled out from under his rock to try and make SF seem relevant. Nice try, Harry!

Seems we won't know till about 8 as Greens count will take that long, FG should be done mid-afternoon and FF by about 7 p.m.

The first thing people like Paul Murphy and Brid Smith will do..... organise a protest.

    I can hear it now.

    "We reject this government!!"

Well, what the **** were you doing for the past 4 months trying to set up an alternative one?

Second item on their agenda. Acrimonious Split.

I see Murphy has jumped on the Ecosocialist bandwagon since the Green Surge in the local elections. He has notions over Saorise McHugh too. I'd imagine he will push hard for some of the disenfranchised green members if this goes forward.

Although I'd love to attend one of their meetings after they join. I can't imagine many of the D4 greens getting along with the Jobstown not guilty crowd at all

And the last and the only. Addicted to the sound of their own shrill voices. No solutions to anything though

After hours of passionate and sometimes fraught debate at an EGM in the Teachers Club.

I'm fairly out of the loop to be honest lads, is there a better chance of the votes passing today or failing? Or is it impossible to predict?

    Of course it will pass.

A lot of snouts too close to the trough to turn back now

Its probably the best government that could be formed from the results in February, but still very uninspiring. Expect plenty of more money to be thrown in to black holes such as the HSE and social welfare, where working tax payers are seen as cash cows.

I'd still be still hopeful of a centre right or even right wing party emerging, but unfortunately it doesn't look likely at the moment.

The thread about the National Party entering the mainstream might change your mind on that. Or perhaps not...

Looks like a heavy Yes from Fianna Fail. Just watched the count on their LiveStream. The guy nearest the camera had two piles. Assume Yes/No. Watched him count them. 54 in one 11 in the other. Missed the exact count for the girl beside him had two similar proportioned piles (one very big one very small).

Just watched a third lady (seems to be the last one counting) Again two piles. One large one small Count 39 in one 8 in another

Actually no they are back counting again. But the trend is continuing. running 5-6 in one pile for every 1 in another pile. Can't see it being a heavy No. So assuming that the large pile is a Yes and I've seen a good 200 votes in the time watching a fairly good sample to predict a large Yes Vote.

No, no, no. You’ve gotten it wrong. It’ll go like this.
    “Wha do we wan?”
    “Change”
    Or “FFFGGREENS Ou, Ou, Ou....”

    Or words to that affect.

I'd say that Saoirse is just waiting for the wink from Matt Carthy to clamber eagerly aboard the hot air powered Sinn Fein charabanc.

But hopefully Smirker will manage to entice Neasa Hourigan to sign up for RISE or whatever today's version of The Paul Murphy Party is called. They really do deserve oneanother.

Hiring a driver to the board of Irish Water was a gas one. Sure it's only tax payer money. I'm sure he was the best man for the job ;)

Wasn't it Mick Wallace who hired his son who was unqualified for the job and was double-jobbing on Mick's other projects?

    Ah well so.

Green party results delayed until 8 pm.

Doesn't take that long to count

2000 eligible members isn't it? That should take no more than 2 hours

    So, are they..

    - Holding off for a dramatic announcement for the 9 O'Clock news?
    - Panicking because the results aren't going the way they want/expect?

    Vote now :)

Your classic answer when the IRA is brought up.

    Sure the Brits did it.

    Two wrongs ay.

They also make the top 5. I would also throw in Michael Lowry + John O'Donoghue.

As someone in her constituency, I think it would take a massive effort from Lisa to redeem herself in Mayo, which is a shame. I actually voted for her once.

That would be the same son who Clare Daly is currently employing as her teaboy and chief arsewiper in Brussels.

The Healy raes ad playing senior football in this regard. How do you forget you're a publican exactly ? I remember reading the list of TDs where they declare their outside business dealings. It'd be have been easier for the Healy raes to list which part of kilgarvin they don't own in some way.
