Gonna compare to last year from now on:
    4.8 kWp E/W. 2.4kWh battery. 24 degree slope.

    March 2020(kWh):
    Expected: 291
    Actual: 381

    Best day 22nd: 18.6
    Worst 9th: 2.3

Imported 200 units from the grid and exported 99.

    March 2021(kWh):
    Production: 332.4 (291 predicted)
    Consumption: 711
    Import: 404 (180d, 224n)
    Export: 25.6 ( pred.)

    Best day: 29th: 19.1
    Worst day 3rd: 2.1

Last March was absolutely brilliant. But this one wasn't too bad ether. After a slow start things started ramping up after the 10th. Exported around a quarter of what I did last year thanks to the Zappi. Apart from a small charge on the 15th have only charged the car from the sun.

    March 2021 :

First go at this with 16 panel 6kw south facing system and hot water diverter going live on March 16th on the south east.

    Generated 226kWh
    Consumed 116kWh
    Exported 109kWh
    Imported 110kWh
    Eddie 66kWh
    Green 51%

    Best day March 17th 29.4kWh
Worst day March 28th 4.1 kWh

Overall we could have managed usage a bit better but not a bad start & great to have so much hot water. A lot of export to the grid and am hoping FIT and an EV will cover a good bit of this. Future proofed while the grant was still going but held off on a battery. First electricity bill due soon.

Pretty crap month again in Donegal, as I see others had too. A few utterly miserable rainy days generating about 2kWh and the occasional mad spike up to 20+.

My prediction was 387, only got about 82% of that.

Total since install at the end of July now 2043.3kWh. If I get close to my estimates I'll end up with around 4500kWh for the calendar year.

Have decided not to buy a battery but have bought a handy device that pairs with my PV plant . Have it in the kitchen so can see when I'm exporting at a glance and it gives some real time feedback in comparison to my logger. (to the point where sticking on the kettle you immediately see the spike). Has helped in getting into habit of using what I'm generating.

Prob been said before but in case it saves you money, there are cheaper Electricity Plans out there compared to your 15.4c day/7.4c night rate, these are inflating your "savings"...

Hopefully going onto the ev tariff, I'm on about 90%
night rate., Must double check my day rate, thought it was 14 something.. oh and it's going up in april I think too isn't it?

    March Stats
6.4kWp (4.5 SSE, 1.9 WSW) , 4.8kWh battery, Eddi, dumb electric car charger – Tipperary

    Generation – 436 kWh
    Export – 25.6 kWh
    Divert – 119 kWh
    Import – 384 kWh

    Best day - 19th, 31.6 kWh
    Worst day - 8th, 1.9 kWh

    Totals so far:
    Month|Generate (KWh)|Export (KWh) |Divert (KWh) |Import (KWh)
    November | 163 | -- | -- | 443
    December | 117 | 0.5 | 22 | 552
    January | 163 | 1.5 | 29 | 709
    February | 213 | 9.6 | 47 | 496
    March | 436 | 25.6 | 119 | 384
    Total | 1092 | 37.2 | 217 | 2584

March was a good month - though the number of units purchased may be higher than expected given the generation amount - mostly due to some night-time use (half-filling the battery on night rate) - that's turned off now until next winter. Lots of divert, and a fair bit going back to the grid - both of which I'm sure will be excessive as the summer months come. I'll have to look into getting a Zappi...
