Has anyone been using the right click spell check function in the exam? I did it today and i must have clicked something different by mistake itead of the correct spelling but it kicked me out of the exam and completely uninstalled proctorio (honestly have no clue what I clicked) I managed to get back into the exam and finish it anyway but when i rang the LS to tell them about it the girl on the phone was like you're not suppose to use any spell check or right clicks because it comes up as suspicious activity?? if this is true I don't understand why that function is enabled then? now im so paranoid that its been flagging me as suspicious the whole time!

I used it a lot too! Can’t remember been told not to use it! Was never thrown out of the exam either!

Hi all! My last FE1 is contract law on Thursday next and of all of them, this is the one I've always felt the most overwhelmed by. I tend to get bogged down on certain topics and can't move on from them. I'm all over the place with notes too (not asking for any materials) but would love it if anyone had sound advice on either settling my nerves about it, or on how to approach studying best?

I'm happy to reciprocate with any of the other subjects as I've passed 6 and have a very good feeling about the 7th.

When I asked this a few weeks ago I was given the following advice which helped me a lot!
"- Get an up to date grid and decide what topics you want/feel that are important to study. It's not the broadest course so you may be able to study more topics than other courses.
    - Get a copy of the exam papers and examiner's reports. The examiner makes very good points in the reports as to where students failed/lost marks.
    - I did the questions together by subject after studying the topics e.g. did all mistake together. Then I looked at the examiner's reports and saw where the problems where and made a note of them. I would definitely recommend doing this.
    - I would definitely advise knowing the consumer protection area particularly well. - Some areas like offer and acceptance where people think they know the area well can end up being more difficult/easier to fall down on in my opinion.
    - You are allowed to bring certain legislation in with you. You can check out with the Law Society what you can bring in and I would definitely try and order/arrange it sooner rather than later.

Good luck! Above is just based on my experience."

Hope this helps you! I also posted the list of revision topics that I'm covering in a post above if you're stuck

Likelihood of trusteeship coming up again?

Surely it'll be take less time for the results as you're not dealing with the paperwork, etc.? The examiner can just mark in the result in some spreadsheet at home.

You’re forgetting about all the suspicious behaviour they’re going to have to review

How would it make any difference at all if they're marking it on paper or on a computer?

It's still the same format and still correcting 5 questions per paper

There's also the external examiner checks and then they will go through an exam board to be ratified. It will probably still be the 6 weeks. I'm wondering will we be getting the grades through betterexamninations or the Law Society page.

And people having technical difficulties being told 'we'll keep note of it', so are the examiners going to have to keep a list beside them and check for every paper whether they had issues during the exam

I'd say we'll get them on LS website as usual since they'll have to put them into their own system anyway for their records

    I'm going to try do;

    Injunctions
    Estoppel
    Undue influence and recission
    Tracing
    Specific performance
    Charitable trusts and cy pres
DMC, Strong v Bird, 3 Certainties.

But that's just wishful thinking I'd say I don't even have my notes written up.

Iv been using it the whole way through the two Iv done remotely. Did the rules for the remote exams we were e-mailed contain a stipulation that using it is prohibited. Missed it if they did.

Oops I didn't see anything on it, I had to use an extra mouse today because the built in one my laptop went kaputt and I kept accidentally hitting the right button. Also realised how much I look around and talk to myself so hopefully that doesn't flag it too hugely!

Not sure if this is relevant but the email we got said all data proctorio takes is deleted after 30 days - if they have to review our videos surely this would have to be done before the 30 days right?

Oh wait I read further and I think the LS have access to it for longer ..

No mention of spellcheck though! I’ve been using it throughout

Did resulting trusts come up in March 2020? (automatic or presumtion)

What type of injunction do people think will come up?
I think maybe Quia Timet or Mandatory Interlocutory?

I think so too. Going to have Mareva prepared just in case though as it came up two sittings in a row in 2018

The last time that it came up two papers in a row was in 2010... so I want to say no..

Always nervous making these calls though.
