"basket case", "green nonsense", "clowns"...yep...don't get it.

    Care to elaborate?

Who do you suggest voting for?

I agree Varadkar seems ineffective as a leader, but I don't get the unhinged rage people expressed regarding FG under Kenny. Considering the basket case they inherited, it was like they could just wave a magic wand and obliterate it.

A lot of what passes for political discourse is just "saying the thing to be seen to be saying".

And the housing crisis is not actually the fault of just the government. Way more factors than that. But yeah, Sinn Fein can solve it, lol.

I find how people go on about political parties with such anger so strange. Being in opposition is so easy as all you have to say is you would do something differently without any detail to back it up. Enda Kenny's change on property tax is an obvious one. In opposition he went on about how unfair it was, gets into power and brings it in. Once the party gets in power they see all the details and come to the same conclusion.

Now we have the parties going on about pension age and how unfair the government are. Any party in control would have brought in the increased age.

SF pander to the public with things like rent freeze knowing full well it would make things worse. The public lap up completely unsuitable ideas because it is somebody else who pays so they think it is great.

Think Homer running for Major and you have most parties during elections.

Aside from a few decent independents who else will they vote for? SF are a basket case and shouldn’t be let near power, greens are a pain in the hole and will try stop building roads, tax fuel more, wont help farmers and other such green nonsense and the rest such as people before profit etc are basically clowns that I’d rather shoot myself in the foot than vote for them.

I agree with you about Sinn Fein, no other party will want to do a deal with them. Too far to the left.

However, I don’t get why people complain about the government and then just vote for independents. They are likely just voting for someone who cares only about local issues and don’t give a damn about the country.
People who just vote for independents shouldn’t complain about the government IMO

Gamers, the amount of threads I click on here thinking it's something of interest and it turns out to be a discussion on some game!! WTF!!

Don't check the posts in the gaming forums then... Unless you're on about threads in AH, of which very few are gaming related.

Also, i'm a gamer. Can't think of a better way to spend my time tbh. Removes me from the crap that is the real world, allows me to play out roles I just cannot in real life, and can also be educational (check out Assassins Creed Odyssey Discovery Tour, takes you to all the locations in the game that are real and explains about them - ancient Greece btw).

Which leads me to another TIDG, people who consider gamers children. Like, why?

Ah yes. The wonderful Sinn Fein, who are going to cut taxes for everyone, give more money to people, improve services, reduce the pension age, give everyone a magic f*ckin unicorn and a bag of coke - but have absolutely zero idea where all that money will come from. I can't stand that Mary Lou's self righteous face anyway :pac:

In fact every wedding in England I have been to has been absolutely dire and downright torture.

I was even at a same sex wedding- two ladies.
And no...they were not hotties. Thinks Roseanne Barr's two uglier fatter sisters.

    How terrible.

Did your your own wedding resemble Brad and Jen or David and Victoria?

Never to be voted for. Campaigning for Det. McCabe's murderers to be released should not be forgotten. Nor should picking them up at the prison gate upon release.

It has to be done, so anything that can possibly make it easier*

*not saying that mop does, but some of the things do.

I don't get why unemployment benefit isn't reduced when the economy nears full employment.

If it was a self mopping mop, I'd sign up for ten of them, irrespective of cost.

If I never see snow again in this lifetime, it will be too soon.

I only ever want proper snow where you can’t go anywhere. Not the ****e kind where it just makes it dangerous to go anywhere.

    Why?
Would you like the country shutting down, people can't get to work, no food in the shops, farm animals dying or people dying because they can't get out of their houses to get anything?
So you can make a snowman.

I have no desire to make a snowman. I just don’t want to be able to get to work for a few days. I don’t care what anyone else or the country does at the same time.

People paying money to see a film and then talking their way through it. Went to see A Hidden Life this afternoon, first time in a mainstream cinema in a while, 25 minutes into the film I remembered why, the couple (not that young) behind me hadn't shut up since the film started, so I turned around and told them that I paid to watch a film, not to listen to their conversation. In fairness there was a big bunch of girls in their late teens in front of me and there wasn't a squeak out of them.for the 3 hours.

I've been to any number of movies where people talk through it it's awful.

I don't get toilet brushes at all. They're worse than useless. I use a dish brush myself, there's no point in using a brush that can't get into the corners of or effectively clean any part of the thing it is supposedly designed to clean.

I use toilet paper. A dish brush sounds painful

My toilet doesn't have any corners, the toilet brush does just fine!

The popularity of guys like Post Malone, Lil Peep,Tekashi 61x9 or most millennial rappers to be honest. I'm seriously questioning my own career choices when some brain dead plank can come along, get all scribbles tattooed on their face and proceed to write dumb childish lyrics and end up being worth 17 million dollars as a result!!
