There's some seriously s**t places on the western fringes of London near the M25 and Heathrow, West Drayton, Hayes, Hounslow etc that hold some weird sort of magnetic pull for our mobile brethren, Luton is another dump they think is great.

Fact of the matter is that every poster here, myself included would be doing what they do if they were born into that community, so aside from forced adoption there's no solution really.

That's some amount of equivocation and defence of inexcusable behaviour in such a short post. Those places are dumps primarily because of who inhabits them and little else.

Besides, how could anyone here be born into that community unless our mother and father were both our first cousints once removed.

And another thing it's not as if they're brassic or owt like that, plenty of layabouts content to collect their rock without causing mischief and mayhem where'er they go. Consanguination has got to be a major contributing factor..... as no study will ever show.

Also I don't know much about those places you mentioned but there's another scourge in Luton that's related to multiculturalism and to speak of it is considered haram/hate speech/racism.

Also, as our travelling brethren are wont to say "if it's in the cat it's in the kitten" so I don't think your adoption theory would work either.

    Sterilisation. The only solution.

Travellers that don't travel and are constantly speaking out of how they aren't provided housing but yet they are it's just they tend to destroy and burn most of these properties....

Nutgrove had amazing newly built detached homes 2 destroyed, 1 done up and destroyed again so both stand as shells for the last many years.....

Amazing country how is tax paying fools fund these thugs, drug dealers, robbers and plain old spongers.

As the great Theodore Dalrymple put it: "Do sties make pigs, or do pigs make sties?"

    https://www.city-journal.org/html/do-sties-make-pigs-12343.html

He wrote a book called "Life at the Bottom: The Worldview That Makes the Underclass". He couldn't get a publisher in the UK - his targets were not the 'underclass' but the liberal chattering classes that pretend to help them but do the opposite.

Never going to happen, and I wouldn't support it on ethical grounds.

Worryingly, you took that comment as a sincere suggestion.l

would mandatory military service be a solution? all males and females to do 1-2 years in the army from 18 years old to 20. it might go some way to changing how the travellers behave in society.

Most of the women are married with at least one kid by 18, so not a chance you could force a mother away from her child for 1-2 years. Military service isn't going to undo a lifetime of conditioning. Travellers have the same problems any section of society has that has multigenerational welfare dependency - no respect for education or employment and a propensity to top up said welfare with nixers and crime. The only way to try and change it is to keep the kids in school for as long as possible but it's hard to keep kids interested in studying when the parents have no time for it.

the government could raise the age to get married to 21. no one under that age should be getting married anyway. i know people in other countries who were real trouble makers and heading for a life of crime but military service did wonders for them and they turned their life around.

Children’s allowance should only be paid to parents whose children are in education. Dole age raised to 21.

They can't get married in the republic until they are 18. They get around it by getting married in the North when they are 16.

Their shooting skills are appalling, mandatory military service could help keep the numbers under control.

It's not an isolated incident, 2 of them got out of their cars in the middle of traffic at GMIT last year and started flaking each other.

Waste of space the lot of them who just take other peoples money legally and illegally.

then they will be forced to get a job, they would hate that and choose military service instead. as for them getting married in the north and having kids before 18, tough $hit, they can get their parents to look after them while they are in the army.

Put them in the army, cut their dole, sterilise them etc. This unrealistic sh1te comes out every time there's a travellers thread.

Genuinely I can't stand them myself. If I told you one of the things that's on my bucket list to do with them, I'd probably be arrested.

Treat them no differently to anyone else is my solution. If they are not finishing school, imprison the parents. If they commit crime, imprison them. If they want to live in a field, buy the field and get planning permission for whatever type of dwelling they wish to live in.

Cut all funding for pavee point. Even the travellers have no time for them.

I remember that and the reaction of the two kids in the car shows how they are conditioned to see this behaviour as normal. The younger child was terrified and bawling crying, which a normal reaction when a child see's their parent fighting. The older child was screaming for Daddy to kill him. In a few years the younger child will be like the older one and see fighting as not just normal but something to be proud of and a social status.

And lets not forget the video of the 4/5 year old being forced to down a glass of Guinness.

Travellers will continue to destroy communities whilst the government ignore it and try to let on there’s nothing wrong ??
Counties like Longford are gone beyond recall , hard to know how any government politician can call to a house in Longford knowing their constituency is destroyed with traveller crime and intimidation and their staying silent above in the dail .

why cant the government just cut child allowance after your say third kid? that would make them think twice about having 10 kids.

That’s supposed to be the case anyway. Not sure how travellers get around it.

I agree. After three kids you should get a tax credit like the U.K. to help parents who are working. In this country the only people who seem to be having huge families are the cradle to grave welfare recipients.

Fraud. They must get classes on it as kids. Would explain why they don't have time to go to school.

It would just result in a rise in criminal activity and will not lower traveller birth rates.
Locking them up at a cost of €80k - €100k each a year is not going to help with crime either. They don't care, prison does not scare them.

That's not unique to traveller culture. A woman rang Niall Boylan last year when the done thing was to try to get the media on your side to highlight your homeless plight. She was complaining that her, her husband and three children had been in emergency accommodation for nearly a year and she found out the council were going to give her a house at the end of the week. She went around to check out the house and was complaining that it wasn't big enough and the back garden wasn't big enough for her kids.

She rang back the next day looking for more sympathy and someone had texted the show that she had gotton pregnant while living in the hotel Niall asked her why she'd do that while in emergency accommodation and she immediately got defensive and said she didn't want to go into her personal circumstances and the government weren't doing enough to help her blah blah blah. Needless to say she didn't get much support from listeners and never rang back.

People can have as many kids as they want but there's a shocking lack of personal responsibility which has been replaced by a massive sense of entitlement.

Niall Boylan is a right wing shock jock. He deliberately puts those types on his show.

Absolutely. But it doesn't change the attitude of the woman. That was on her.

Its easy to be strict about it until someones uncle daddy threatens you. If anyone can find a way around it, its them. Its naive to think otherwise.
