Wonder why they were at the Post Office.... would love to know how many of these arent on Disability Allowance as well... I'd hazard slim to none.

Disability Allowance is paid on Wednesday I believe. Jobseekers Allowance most likely if it was a Monday.

Just noticed this thread, but even more so I noticed there is something seriously wrong around here.

There hasn't been one of the usual suspects on this thread lambasting anyone for daring to discuss this issue since it concerns one of their sacred cows.

Or should that be sacred horses in this case?

Very disconcerting not to be lectured about how racist we all are or even how we dump our rubbish on the poor travellers.

Yeah I tend to expect a dogooder or 3 to attend and spout absolute rubbish such as settled folk are the ones fly tipping on the halting sites and surrounding roads, fields, reserves and so on...

Always wondered how one that doesn't work can get commercial insurance, tax and drive around in vans, pick ups etc and never questioned....

Travellers are outbreeding the tax payers hand over fist , They must make up a very high percentage of the welfare numbers .

The census figures for travellers are wildly inaccurate seeing as it’s been admitted as few as a third of travellers filled up most recent census forms . 100,000 would be a far more accurate figure of travellers .

Nonsense. I'm from there originally. In the mid to late 90s and up to the mid 00s it was thriving. It never really benefited from the boom other than a shyt load of houses were built but when the recession hit it was decimated. 1 in 3 .... and then consider many have multiple convictions before they end up inside ... and then how many crimes can you commit before your caught especially in rural Ireland with no guards ... the mind boggles how much crime travellers are involved in but Fine Gael want us to stay quite about it !!

Welfare from cradle to grave ....what percentage do they make up of the welfare bill ??
Their numbers are outpacing the working population year in year out due to most people working unable to afford to have anymore than 1 or 2 children unlike travellers who have up to ten children paid for by the taxpayers . In many towns and villages it’s gone beyond recall , Law abiding people have no quality of life due to traveller crime and intimidation and Fine Gael and RTÉ ignore it .

The rathkeale crowd to be fair are genuine travellers who travel to the UK or Europe for most of the year doing whatever they do . They would be a lot more civilised than the layabouts in so many other towns and villages across this country masquerading as travellers . Rathkeale travellers aren’t into kicking the crap out of elderly people living on their own in the middle of the night or going round in tracksuits acting like complete scumm.

There's some seriously s**t places on the western fringes of London near the M25 and Heathrow, West Drayton, Hayes, Hounslow etc that hold some weird sort of magnetic pull for our mobile brethren, Luton is another dump they think is great.

Fact of the matter is that every poster here, myself included would be doing what they do if they were born into that community, so aside from forced adoption there's no solution really.

What? There's lots the state can do. It can start by imposing serious penalties for truancy for a start.

Education really is the only long term solution to the anti social behavior in the travelling community.
