    I'm a Consultant Engineer, 7 year's experience, €60k. 23 days leave + 10 extra purchased (basically unpaid leave). 8% Employer pension once I put in 6% myself.

Started off on €20k in 2013...

I presume you work in construction?

    90000 - 100000Updated 28/11/2019Dublin
You will have at least 7 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor.

That is waht a QS with 7 years is offered.

The closer to the money you are the more you will be paid in any industry its the way of the world.

Run my own small business. Best year ever for the business and pretty much runs itself at this stage. Should clear about 410k for myself this year. Nearly went to the wall back in 2011 so glad we were able to hold on.

I work in position where I get to see how much a large amount of people earn.

Either boards has a very high percentage of the top earners or there's a lot of bull**** being typed here

Ok my VAT returns will be a little late so don't audit me AGAIN.
    Pleaasseeeee.

BTW not alone are some of the salaries here depressing the amount of holidays some of you fookers are on is ridiculous.

Also who're the lads bringing the endowment down below 12" ? :(

I make some extra income from affiliate marketing and blogs. I would recommend it to everyone. Made about 4k in 2019 but I'm only starting out. Hope to make 10 to 20k next year. Once the initial work is done it becomes passive.

I currently spend about 4 hours a week or less at this.

I work in IT Sales, doing it 20+ years. I work at the higher end of the spectrum chasing deals worth €500k +. Wouldn’t be on the radar if the deal was under €50k. You’d be expected to pull in €5M + a year in new business.

Basic Salary 96K OTE 155K, car allowance 12k pa + 4K for family healthcare and 5% employer pension contribution. Mobile phone paid for etc.

It’s a tough number but I’ve made 180/190k some years and you could be nearly losing your job other years.

The stress of it all isn’t for everyone and it’s not for me but it’s all I know.

Thats actually what I would consider the lower end of the IT sales spectrum. High end starts at 10/20 million for a single deal and would see sales commissions between 0.5 & 3.5% depending on the role.

Saying that its a tidy income for only ~5m in sales, some big Global IT companies would pay similar for 4x those numbers.

Ah hello fellow Vienna expat! Out of interest, is your workplace German speaking, or do you work through English?

Pharma, so distinctly "yes" for both. I speak just about enough German to get by, but most people speak perfect english when I get stuck. Technical terms are often randomly either english or german. It can be very confusing at times especially with acrynoyms where it's a crap shoot when guessing what the original language was.

IMO I would imagine those not on the very bottom level wages are making around 36k to 44k at the low mid tier, 45k to 54k decent higher mid tier, 55k to 70k good money and anything over this is the top level stuff.

€120k + bonus + car allowance + pension top up, in Commercial Sales - I've worked damn hard to get to where I am.

Being home for 5 and no need for OT is great. Okay so your salary is only okay (probably average) but sometimes life is more important than money..

    Salary last year was 44k.

Engineer - nearly 7 years experience. My role is not one I am overjoyed in or developing in a lot but the conditions are good and I'm comfortable for now. I do wonder if I'm doing damage in the future and will regret it though. Who knows!

I have a low cost lifestyle, rent around Dublin and save about 20k a year.

I have a review coming up. After reading this thread I think I'll be asking for a 30k raise so I'm on an ok salary.

I did a 2 year certificate in administration 5 years ago and take home 275k a year.
My hours are Tuesday to Friday. 10am - 4pm.

    Can you explain this?

On a gross wage of 44k, you pay Dublin rents, and save 20k pa?

    Fair play to you.

I reckon I could easily add €30k-€40k to my salary if I commuted to Dublin, but fcuk that. 15 mins drive to work, home before 5pm every day and my alarm goes off at 7.45am in the morning.

Salary is only one aspect of a job that I take into account - it's as much about the commute, the people you work with and the type of work you do.

If you don't have large debts or a consumerist outlook, a smaller salary can be the way to go.

I am happy with what I get but I have always had a bit of a gripe about what sales can make. Like I write the software, solve the problems, talk to the client and maintain the relationship, yet someone with about 1% of the knowledge and no understanding of the problems can take a slice of my pie. Anyway they help facilitate I guess.

My rent is 4k give or take...below market rent but I share with others.

To be honest, the greatest saying ever is "you don't miss something you never had".

My life is no frills. I'm approaching 30 and not being comfortable at home due to annoying housemates.

Life is just passing by, one year to the next. What's the end game?

Also I don't "save" as such. I just live my life and that's how much my account has grown in the last year. I need to do something with it.

Appreciate that, it’s all relative, have done global telco roles in the past with those sort of numbers. The job I’m doing at the moment is targeting IRELAND based organisations only and mainly product related rather than multi year services.

I am 36, was an accountant for about 10 years to age 32. Did the exams and progressed. Started on 19k out of college in industry, moved 2 years later to a job paying 26k, then to one paying 30k 2 years later again. Then the recession hit and as my previous job was in proprty, that company went to the wall.
I moved to my familys business which was always the plan anyway, after I gained some outside work and life experience. Worked as an accountant and accidental IT manager there until 2015 and was on 45k throughout the 7 years I was there. Bought a cut price Dublin house in 2010 as a single applicant on 45k, house had fallen 200k from its peak in 2007.
I left there in 2015 and went back to college to study actuarial maths and worked as a self employed financial advisor during the time too, earned 92k in my first year, 77k in 2nd year and was on course for another 70k in year 3.
Threatened to go working in Actuarial field and was about to pull the trigger when I was offered a senior managerial role back in family business last year which I accepted, its now 70k plus full car expenses plus a few other perks, I am general manager working across IT, accounts, operations, legal, marketing, managing people etc......bit of everything.

I earn €70k plus 10% annual bonus + free healthcare for the family + free broadband + free phone + 8% pension contribution.

Don't have a leaving cert and worked my way up to this over 35 years in various IT roles. Doing better than some but much worse than others... :)

Management Consultant. Speak bull****, work flexible hours across a variety of projects. Remote working is also an option so can work around the globe. E96k before the taxman hits.

Dublin is going through a savage Fintech boom at the minute. You would be mad not to get involved. However it is not my passion and I plan to take a massive gamble and move into the aviation industry and train as a pilot but it will tie me over for now. You only get one shot at life so it might aswell be doing something I enjoy.
