I find it near impossible to watch any comedians anymore as the switch the camera angle ever 10 seconds and it is incredibly jarring

James Acasters reetpire special with numerous shows all linked and Bert Kreischer’s 3 specials are both absolutely fantastic and made me howl with laughter. James is very dry and is an expert in crazy and zany storytelling. He had a the audience eating out of his hand. Bert Kreischer is a big personality and bases hush shows on hilarious family events. His crafting of jokes and his boisterous attitude means his jokes always hit the mark. Reported that he based the character Van Wilder on his long stay in university but his script was gazumped by the studio. His sketch about accidentally joining the Russian mafia was one of the best performances I’ve seen. The fact that all of it was verified as true by his classmates made it even funnier.

Went looking for this on Netflix and couldn't find it.

    Anyone else?

Gutted as Make Happy was incredible.

EDIT: Hmm.. on my phone but not Shield. I'll dig into it.

I have never watched a single Bo Burnham show / special but I have only heard good things.

I did like Eight Grade though.

Now wondering if I should go back and look at what and make happy before checking out inside?

^ Having not watched 'Inside' yet.

Maybe start with 'Make Happy'.. it's very theatrical and extravagant as opposed to 'what' (but that's brilliant too).

    Helluva talented lad!

Ragnarok is really good. I'm on the 2nd series. It's well-written with a good cast.

I think series 2 is better than 1, and that was very good as a stand alone series.

Watched Make Happy last night. There were times where I was very tempted to turn it off but am really glad I didn't as by the end I was fully on board.

I find that there's a real hurdle when it comes to my enjoyment of a stand up comedy special by someone I'm not familiar with. Feels like I need to build up some sort of rapport with the comedian before I can derive any sort of enjoyment from their material.

Looking forward to checking out Inside and 'what' now.

Watched this last night. Have listened to his stuff/watched youtube videos for the last 10 years, but strangely never watched any of his specials before.

However, I saw mention of Inside on twitter last night and so put it on.

Holy sh1t, this is incredible. It's more art than comedy. The cinematography is just beautiful. There are some amazing shots in it.

I'm going to watch it again tonight, I was that blown away by it.

(for those that have seen it, my favourite song is the Internet/All of the time song. Reminded me of a stomper you'd get in Nightmare Before Christmas)

Finished Series 3 of Master of None. Not what I was expecting at all but looking forward to what comes next if there's a Series 4.

    Poor offering again this month
I’ve gone back to Love Hate on rte player (which now actually works !!!)
But I’m nearly through that already
Could do with a decent series coming out

    Finished the Sons of Sam.

This really should have been called The Maury Terry Story. As far as crime documentaries go this one was fairly mediocre. Full of filler, about twice as long as it needed to be and
in the end it all comes to nothing anyway.

Really enjoyed the first 2 seasons and was looking forward to season 3. But the trailer looked odd and seemed to focus on the Denise character? Also it has really bad scores on IMDB. Might give it a miss.

It's totally different to the first two and indeed focusses on Denise and her partner. There are no fireworks, it's just a simple story told well I thought.

I really liked season 1 and 2... it’s a pity that Devs storyline was not continued in season 3...

From watching all three seasons, did you think that the third season storyline was comparable in standard to the previous two?

Inside really is something special: a triumph of creativity amid constraints. One of the best shot anythings I’ve seen in a long time (although also loving The Underground Railroad at the minute): 90 mins of delightful, imaginative visual ideas in such a confined space.

It feels like a desperate, frustrated scream into the endless space of digital ‘content’: weird to describe a comedy special like that, but it really is a product of very modern anguish and loneliness.

The comedy is almost secondary to all that, but it is very bloody funny.

Watched the first season of Ragnarok.

    Enjoyable fare.

Loved 'Inside'.. incredible feat for something solely written, directed and edited.

Hope it's not another 5 years til we see something from Bo again.

An immensely talented voice who gives his all to his creative outputs.

Looks like Jupiter's Legacy has been cancelled.
Can't say I am surprised I gave up after two episodes.
It looked both expensive and extremely cheap (the fight scenes were awful)
