The Comet Is Coming

Van Morrison is a good shout too Rubick. He's played enough Glastos, surely one EP won't put him out too much.

I'd take Van, heard Patti Smith doing her version of Gloria, would be nice to hear Van do it.

Even looking through that End of the Road line up has me excited for an announcement. Nice to see Junior Brother in there. I'm interested to see what anyone outside of Ireland makes of him. He was up on stage in the Olympia with David Keenan last week. Strong Irish presence on that bill alright. Do we have ANY chance of the Pixies at all at all?

Chance of the Pixies is at best, slim, I'd say.

They're already playing three gigs here this summer, aren't they?

They are indeed. I choose to see that as proof of their love of all things Irish. Which actually increases the chance of them appearing. Obvious, when you think of it.

ATN might grab them too seeing that they scooped Orbital last year from the Galway Arts Festival lineup.

I think hes grand for what he is. Having said that, his booking would be a strong signal to the few remaining scobies who dont attend EP already to head down and wreck everyones good time.

he's not the most offensive in fairness,
he's got the midas touch when it comes to hits
one forgets how many there is and that a good few are solid tunes
and at least his stuff is relatively diverse as pop goes,
certainly beats the fck out of picture this in my book

I do like the away the album with 'aceptable in the 80s' was mixed entirely on an Amiga from the early 90s. Appeals to my inner nerd I suppose.

I go to EP with a bunch of radio friendly girls so his set
would be good craic for us as a group,
Dont worry, plenty of time for some chin stroking at the more alternative acts over the weekend
