    Nearly home.
Good old evening. Lift back to apartment in paddy wagon. One of the lads got kicked out of pub. By time I got out, he had disappeared. So I rang- he was walking out the Dublin road and was picked up. So I brought him back.

They went go karting today but I’ve no interest in it.

Carrick is a total zoo on a Saturday night. It’s the locals I’d feel sorry for.
Did the kaarting there a few years ago, it’s a bit of crack.

    Good luck Roosterman

Thanks folks. I survived it anyway. Finished in 3:49.30 so over the moon. Grabbed a pint of stout after and it nearly floored me! Stomach was tender. Got grub a while ago and mad for beer now

I’ve it done a few times myself- a few of the lads are a bit wild and had a few on so I wasn’t taking a chance.

Great stuff. Well done! My BIL did his first one today. He came in just under the 4.30 mark and he’s delighted with himself. Enjoy the couple of pints tonight. Well deserved! 👏

Yes, glad I didn't do too much last week or I'd have surely have made a mess in a few places. I think there is a return to wet weather this week.

Forecast last night gave twice the average rainfall for most of the country this week yet only 2 days are due to be wet

Home late last night from a wedding up north. Went up friday night with a friend, out in Omagh Friday night and at the wedding Saturday in Dromore and onto Bundoran. Left for home yesterday during the day. Really enjoyed the occasion

After reading this post I went to look at ground I wanted to spread fym on.
Still too wet. So I looked at the weather forecast. Rain Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday and unsettled looking into the week with a polar plunge with sleet and snow at the weekend.
So plan b was called for then and I spread on drier ground. I'll be finished up altogether tomorrow. An end came off a chain as well. Not great considering it's a brand new spreader. But then a stone came out so it must have done the damage.
Great drying out here atm. This downturn in weather will put the milkers in for good though.
Everyone is saying there's not a hope you'd get the local contractor to spread dung atm such is the back log in work so glad to have my own machine.

I was spreading dung on the day the planes hit the twin towers and I've maintained ever since that's the time when dung should be spread. It gets too dodgy after it.
Only this year me Fein had to wait to buy a spreader. Lesson learnt again...

I agree September is the time to spread, but it's been too wet here until this week, like you I had to compromise on which fields I spread on, but glad to get it out without creating too much muck.

Will get finished tomorrow. The drier fields are in great order and no tracks except at the gateways.

September is too early here, ideally spread when ground closed to stop taint in the grass when grazing again after September spreading.

Guess everyone's farm is different, farm here is very disjointed, I'd normally have closed some fields by mid September after moving cattle to after grass in other blocks.

    Note the word "increase" 😵

"In the case of Ireland, there is one other obligation, which would increase the record figure of Ireland’s national debt if it was recognized by standard accounting conventions in the governments account. That is the guarantees that the Irish government issued to underwrite all deposits made to Irish banks.
