I got the cert, and renewed the licence. (Cert cost the same as the licence fee)
So now I have to renew my 10 year licence every 5 years, to keep my truck licence categories?

Some doctors are particular on the eye test. Iknow two people that had to get an optician to certify their sight after a doctor failed them. one was restricted by the doctor to driving from an hour after daybreak to an hour before sunset, the other was losing the truck license, both were over 70

    Holy crap.
Went into Aldi there to do weekly shop.

Crowds that I’ve never seen before. Carpark full with cars circulating looking for spaces, not one free trolly in the trolly bay.

Didn’t even get out of the van, there’s nothing we need that badly, it can wait a few days.

There was slabs of Heinz baked beans, stacked high on pallets, in Aldi yesterday. I presume they sold like hot cakes today.

There were lots of fake spreads available, all the Kilkelly spreadable butter was sold out, as were packs of stewing beef.

The chap in the queue behind me, had a trolley of turnips, I did wonder why he needed so many.

The price of turnips could sky rocket...

Schools are not closing in the UK, they reckon it wouldn't make any difference.

Going by the supermarket situation it looks like people are programmed towards congregation despite all advice.

In our local Lidl, they just transfer the vegan stuff to the "going out of date" section, and then bin it.

"Aldi say their €14.99 running shoes are “durable trainers with padded collar and insock for added comfort”. They're even approved and certified by the Vegan Society, guaranteeing that this footwear contains no leather or animal products, and there has been no animal testing involved in its manufacture"

Saw these in Aldi yesterday, clever way of describing synthetic plastic trainers.

A bit grim and we're no where near those events nor will be with the difference in people's diets and nutrition today.
But one still can't but wonder what happened in previous viral outbreaks in times past and how people reacted.

See few independent shops posting online that they are limiting purchases of any items to 2 per person.

I know they are saying stocks are grand but supply chains are light and lots of our foods come from the U.K. and I’m not sure they will continue sending the same volumes to us. The U.K. don’t expect the virus to peak for 12-14 weeks, schools could be closed here for quite a while, I doubt they will open for that week before Easter.

Daughter was called in to help in local shop today. She normally just does a few hours. It was crazy all day. Back in again in the morning. They can't keep the toilet roll on the shelves
