Get that for 600 quid and you'd be laughing

They’re a horrible yoke imo. Had a work one back in 2007/8

Regarding 00 Micra, Call be overly suspicious, but why would a car with such low mileage and 1 owner have no dealer sticker, no dealer plate reg surround, 4 new generic wheel covers.........if the owner presumablt elderly only drove it 1,000 miles a year. Also should the 100,000 digit only appear if it rolled into the 100,000, therefore it should be 19,000 and not 019,000 ?

Good yoke for the School run as it's only a 1 mile trip and a Daysul yoke would get blocked up.

That’s just the way the odometers are on them.

I like it too! If you didn't look at the reg, you would think that car is worth much more than the asking price. 2 months tax on it, but only a few weeks NCT. I'd offer close enough to asking provided he puts it through the test it first. Or have the car thoroughly checked out by a good mechanic.

Selling your Lexus because you got sick of the motor tax bills? :(

That C30 has had the same owner for the last 5 years, so you'd wonder why they're selling it now and not with a new test.

Owner probably knows it won't pass emissions test

Could be lots of valid reasons the car is for sale, maybe the owner already got another car. Buy 5-6 year old car, sell after 5-6 years, rinse & repeat.

Personally I'd rather be cautious and would prefer an NCT (or at least a fail sheet), because as you say, if the car failed the emission test, it could be an economic write off

Thats a lot of car for the money, but its very much the ginger stepchild of the 9-3 range :pac:

    You can say that again!

I picked one up during the summer for myself. Actually just took it out today for a spin.

With herself having the 1.8t initially from May to August and changing then for a 1.9Tid, I have been on various forums and groups for the Saab 9-3's, but if I mention the 1.8 anywhere, I'm all but asked to get out of the group, as it's not a real Saab! :D:D

Saabs haven't been real Saabs for decades! :D

The last of the Saab blood died with the end of the use of the slant (Triumph) petrol engine in the last incarnation in the 9-5 in about 2009?

I've only owned one Saab myself, a 2001 9-5 with above turbo petrol engine. I will forever have fond memories of that car, lovely place to be in, even though it was the worst drivers car I have ever owned.

Definitely a great place to be in, but God, they really had no idea when it came to driving experience or handling!

The above one isn't even the turbo engine, hence me hiding in the groups and forums! Haha.
It's the regular 1.8 Z18XE 120bhp engine found in Corsas, Astras, Tigras, Merivas, Vectras and Zafiras! :D

(EDIT)Sorry, just realised, you probably meant the turbo like the one in my wifes car! DUH!(/EDIT)

    NCT till Feb 2021, 1 owner, 19k miles! €950

Its pricey, but how nice is this?

Pricey alright, but if thats a genuine one, and rust free, it's practically a brand new K11 for under a grand!

Nah always wanted one but I've lived the dream now and it's time to move on! I've never owned a Volvo or a Saab so it's a good opportunity now!:D

Yeah I was the same back in 2011, never owned either Saab or Volvo. It was in the middle of the recession and I had a very tight budget to spend on a decent family size car. Was going for a 9-10 year old Volvo S60, but they were around the €3k mark back then. Too expensive. Went to see a €1,850 Saab 9-5 which was in excellent condition, had it thoroughly checked out by my mechanic who found very little apart from an oil seep. Got it for €1,350. Sold it on 2 years later with some minor issues like the alarm was no longer working, for €1,250. Car had cost me almost nothing in maintenance too as back then I did my own oil services.

I would consider this a decent buy at €1250

1 owner, Irish car, years test, "high miles" - €1990

266k km isn't exactly high is it? Unless its 266 miles. Even still it could be worth a punt if you're looking for a respectable looking diesel car that is up in years. If it was an import with 4 or 5 owners I would be less inclined to post it, but on the face of things it seems worth a look at the very least, in my books

NCT til July 2020, tax til next week, €375

Throw 3 months tax on for fifty quid, drive it over the Winter & you'll probably get a good chunk of your money back come Feb/March with the remaining test on it

What's the story with the 1.5DCi engine in these?
I see a good few Nissan Qashqai's popping up at Bangernomics money with this engine, but a high percentage seem to need an engine!

And what if four sets of images of cars were posted between that post and the quote? How would you know what the response was in relation to?

Yup and 6 months PSV tax left on it :D

When that runs out the tax is €1,200 per year though, unless you fraudulently keep the PSV tax going...
