Brendan Grace ( 1 April 1951 - 10 July 2019 ) was an Irish comedian and singer. He was known for his comedy schoolboy character "Bottler", the role of Murphy in the 1995 film Moondance, and his 1996 appearance in the Irish TV sitcom Father Ted as Father Fintan Stack.[1]

His 1975 song, "Combine Harvester", was a number one hit in Ireland, and the song would later become a UK number one hit for The Wurzels in 1976.

RIP Brendan. A very funny man but more importantly a very nice man. His wife Eileen is a wonderful person too and is also a very funny person.
Had loads of laughs at his shows when he was young and had lots of laughs when I met the man off stage too.

I just loved that song. It took me years to realise it was him but the voice is so distinctive.
I saw him do a lovely show in the US back in 2004 I think. Quite a singer..
He was an institution in this country. May he RIP..
