Moro and Turkish Delight? The Moro I always saw as a poor mans mars/snickers replacement.
The Turkish Delight is a classic but just never had the staying appeal to me.

Galaxy from the creaminess. Still go for them in the Celebrations box!

This could be a final to be honest.

Love a Moro. Maybe slightly chilled? Stick it in the fridge for a little while first.

I lived of Galaxy chocolate in college.

And Turkish Delight is delicious stuff too. But I think the Fry's version is better (where is it here?!?!?!), so I'll hold off and go with...Moro I think

Galaxy, best of an underwhelming bunch

    Moro

This is nonsense. There should have been a pre-finals qualifier tournament to weed out the 5 challenge cup contenders.

Three way matches? Who came up with that John Delaney?

I refuse to take part in this stitch up anymore.

(For the above reasons, and there's turf to be footed)

Might be back for semi-finals or final later in which I expect to see Mint Crisp, Turkish Delight, Mars and Twix competing.

But for now, back to Omackeral in the studio

    Moro

Now if that was a caramel galaxy I'd be saying different

Can we vote for the chunky Milky Bar? As in not the crap wafer thin one? If so that gets my vote.

    Turkish definitely

Although I did think the Turkish delight was very sophisticated, as a youngster.

    Milky bar.
White chocolate is my guilty pleasure.

    Milky bar

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

I'm coming in with a vote for that chunky bastard of a Fry's thing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,519 ✭✭✭✭dudara

Hmm, this is a tough one. I’m discounting Milkybar straight away. Its not even chocolate (controversial!)

There’s a huge retro aspect to Fry’s Turkish Delight and the fact that it’s got lots of lovely jelly.

Wispa has a nice dense bubbly texture, but I’ve always felt that the bubbly texture has negated the chocolate flavour somehow.

So Frys Turkish Delight it is.

    Milky Bar. So good.

Wispa is ok, but you’d get bored of it half way through.

Wouldn’t go near that Frys Turkish delight. There is basically no layer of chocolate to assist with the taste of the overpowering filling.
Milkey bar is good but not satisfying enough.

I spent the summer of 1999 living off Wispas as a golf caddy in Kildare! Still Love them to this day. Was devastated when they disappeared off the shelf for a few years. Delighted when they came back.

    Wispa.

Wispa, as the least worst of one crap and two inedible choices.

I have it as 4-4-4 here!

    Turkish

I really like Milky Bar but they lack a bit of substance.

Agreed, white chocolate is just the leftovers from the the factory floor after they finish making real chocolate.

    Chonky Jelly Boi Turkish wins!

White chocolate is like the sausage of the confectionary world. And sausages are amazing.
