    Just a matter of interest.

What possesses a young person who actually wants to make a difference run for FG or FF?

I'm sceptical straight away of the motives.

    There's a combination of factors I'd say.
Some people generally like a party be it FG, FF, SF or Labour.
    They may be family connections.
They want to make a difference and feel the best way to do it would be with a party.(A whole bunch of independents wouldn't achieve much).
They might be after the party vote and see it as an easy way in. SF always run some one who's always giving out in my area. They generally get in and then fall out with the party.
They are a lot of reasons.

Could be that some people have different political views to your own. Crazy, I know.

    Sister I think

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Very clever of her, appealing to only socialists who are feminist and only feminists who are socialists. A good 9 or 10 votes coming her way.

Jasus I remember Bill Tormey from news talk a few years ago. He seemed to be on it most nights on his soapbox just talking rubbish. Bizarre individual!

This seems to happen a bit. What is it that happens with Sinn Fein that they fall out with so many of their party members who suddenly become former party members??

After googling a few of the names, lets just say that the real heros are the photoshop experts who touch up the official photos. Because most of them look nothing like the official election photos.

Except several mens attractiveness is being commented on too.

Also those girls were being rated by their superiors within a professional work enviornment so its in no way comparable

It was fellow trainees who rated the woman, they are political candidates male and female not models, porn stras, film stars, media personality ect.

It’s how democracy works, people put up pictures of themselves and hope to get votes.

Quite right too - one should never rate a woman until one has shagged her.

Incidentally, does being suspedated hurt much?

Its a form of visual advertising, everyone is going to have an opinion, for example, i was wondering how some of them have failed to become acquainted with a hairdresser.

However, I wonder how many commenting on candidates looks would be happy to be publicly identified for doing so and happy for their employers to know they are doing it.

Just as well this is an anonymous internet forum and noone has to identify themselves. So all's good. Stick your mug up on a pole people are going to pass comment.
