Didn't Christian silently retire due to similar problems as Edge?

No Christian had issues like Daniel Bryan. When DB was cleared he was asked on his podcast and he said it was interesting.

Tbh the Punk 'return' was never gonna be a big deal. He's on a show that gets barely any viewers and isn't wrestling. After waiting for years for him to come back people want either the whole hog or nothing. Having him occasionally be on a pointless show is nothing but teasing. Until he makes an appearance on WWE programming not Fox the hype will be non-existant.

    (Starts at 49.21)

NWA Power knocking it out of the park with this type of stuff. Old school stipulation, modern twist, awesome work

Matt Riddle kind've reminds me of Rob Van Dam. They might have made an interesting tag team if RVD was still wrestling for WWE.

Rumours seem to have quieted down

Just do the bloody taker match and be done with it. It will be horrible but good at the same time

I wonder would Batista’s Rumble win in 2014 have gone down better if he didnt return to tv weeks before, and his return was at the Rumble

Everybody wanted Daniel Bryan to be number 30, but if Big Dave’s return was only real if he came out at 30 would it have been the crapshow it turned into

Cos they both smoke weed and do high kicks ?

And they've both got laid back personalities.

RVD comes across, or did back in the day anyway, as a sound enough lad.

With Riddle I can tell there's an underlying case of asshole. Laid back doesn't necessarily mean nice.

There is definitely a case of asshole with Riddle and nothing to do with him being a bit of a stoner.

Stoner assholes are the worst kind of asshole and give laid back stoners a bad name and he fits the asshole stoner bill completely.

Riddle was bang on when I've met him anyway!

Same here. I think he doesn’t take himself too seriously .... or anything else for that matter. I like him.

Jim Ross is covering the 2005 royal rumble and I watched the end last night on the WWE network and I know there was a botched ending but it was my first time watching the end in years and it wasn't WWE best moment as it's clear cena hit first.

No, I met him at a hotel in town and again in a bar after an OTT show

The undertaker ministry of darkness is the best version of the undertaker. His theme song wasn't mostly just a bell sounding and there was an overall menacing feeling to the character that wasn't there after that.

It was one of the best versions BUT I’m not sure it wouldn’t have gotten tired after awhile

The new IC title is hideous.

Does My Way by Limp Bizkit count? Cos that gets my vote every time.

I hate myself for saying it but "Crack Addict" the Mania 19 theme was a banger and a song I can't find on my music app.

"Damn right I'm a crack addict,
    Addicted to cracking skulls,
    When punks start static"

What punk is out there messing with Fred Dursts' TV aerial?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,346 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

I think some of the more recent Manias have had great songs.

Green Light was an ear worm. My House too. Rise was good. That Kid Rock one from 34 was fúcking shít though.

Speaking of wrestling music, this was released today...

    What an odd combo.

Johnny Gargano's theme song is very catchy

    as is:

    Cody's - Kingdom by Downstait
    Jericho's - Judas by Himself/Fozzy
