It keeps it alive for us at least

But the quality SO much better in that second game.
Huge performance needed in 2 weeks

In theory yes, but on based on those two matches we're in for a very long evening im afraid in 2 weeks

theres no way we are beating donegal. The only possibility, is that they ran themselves ragged. But the skill and speed demonstrated today really shows that were not at the races anymore

Ryan McHugh, Murphy and mcbrearty are absolute top class. And plenty of supporting acts too. They look on a mission this year and unfortunately I think they could give us a bit of a trimming

Hopefully the two week break and home advantage might be a bit of a leveller but looking at both sides objectively this year it's a no contest really

Logic has nothing to do with what Mayo can do. It's all up for grabs

After saying he should have been dropped, I thought Jason Doherty had a great game. Got on some amount of ball. Seamie made a big difference in the middle too.

But all in all, it was horribly flat performance and wont be good enough to beat Donegal. But sure, we're still breathing.

    Everything’s come up mayo

We just needed to get to the break & still have a chance, think we’ll see a very different Mayo in two weeks time.

For mayo to win the AI they will have to beat Donegal, Dublin and Kerry
The 3 best teams in the country!!! Cant see any chance of that happening

Andy head and shoulders our best player out there. At 35. Says it all

Unfortunately we're looking on course for a very sobering evening in 2 weeks.

Hopefully hennelly gets the start. I don't think I've ever seen a worse kickout display at this level than today

Luckily Meath completely ran out of steam as that was overall a very poor display

Thought Boyler was outstanding through out.

A lad who was'nt starting at the start of the championship and we'd all largely written off as impact substitute he's had a stellar championship thus far.

Terrible rain on route home but we were very fortunate with the elements.

We'll have to up it massively to trouble Donegal.Sounded like a contest of a totally different standard to the first game.

2 weeks will make a massive difference,Paddy might be back in contention.Diarmuid still in a cast pitchside.Who knows where Matthew Ruane is at?

It should be a sell out.

Yikes and no rest for the wicked with minors next weekend.

Kudos to Andy,he was simply immense in the second. He was the difference, truly remarkable his quality with his longevity of service.

Plenty chance in 2 weeks players obviously shattered after 5 weeks on the bounce, fair play to Andy Moran for getting that one over the line

Donegal are a quality outfit. Missing 3 starting defenders today (2 of which should be back for the next game), they still contained the Kerry frontline well enough. Its a massive game in CB in two weeks, but a winnable game. However, if Mayo are to have a chance they need their A game. It's gonna be a tight game, with a high score, much like today at Croke Park with Kerry - Donegal.

Ruane back training but non contract

Would also think hennelly has to start next day, even if he concedes a bad goal the game is recoverable whereas losing kick outs isn't recoverable as donegal will win 80% of theirs. Not going to win without some decent primary possession

Mayo v Donegal...for a plan in the All Ireland semi finals. Mouthwatering!

I do think man for man Donegal are stronger (by a stretch). However at Castelbar, anything can happen.

No. Keeper needs to stop goals.

Effectively an All Ireland quarter final in McHale Park in 2 weeks.

Is day Donegal will build a man pyramid and play for the scoreless draw.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,136 ✭✭✭PressRun

Donal Vaughan was well off the pace again today, I felt.

No. Keeper needs to stop goals.

Where’s this idea that Hennelly can’t stop goals come from? Mistake or two in him when the confidence goes but he’s every bit the shot stopper Clarke is and has consistently shown that when he plays
