Jordan Flynn really does need to be careful in terms of his tackling, ditto Diarmuid.

The whole team does. Our discipline in the tackle has been poor for a while now.

    Unforgivable indiscipline,handy Mc Manus score.

    Brilliant score from Mc Loughlin.

    Mullin is the real deal
Need to keep him in South Mayo at all costs

Jordan Flynn just looks like a lad who refuses to learn. Shame

    He's a diamond.

Terrible effort from Stephen Coen after a beautiful set up for the mark by an impressive cousin Darren.

Jordan Flynn with another red card.In real bother now.

Game over after that second goal.

Disappointing second half, sounds like we’ve been dominated in the second half. But patience is key with all these new players

Everyone could see Flynn and O Hora were in danger of second yellows and needed to be subbed
    Everyone except management

    same old failings

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,286 ✭✭✭seligehgit

    Another red card.

Really bad day at the office.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,316 ✭✭✭naughto

Cant be having Flynn if he keeps this craic up
Where in bother and with kerry in town next week I fear the drop

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,286 ✭✭✭seligehgit

Now likely dogfight with Donegal and Tyrone to avoid the drop with Meath.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,286 ✭✭✭seligehgit

Big positive thus far has been Kevin Mc's form, like a wine that gets better upon maturation.Great tackle back in the full back line at the death when the game was long gone.

    Excellent on the frees today.

It appears Kerry struggled against Meath today.Next Saturday night is a must win at home.

Cathal Mc Shane by all accounts sustained a serious injury today.

We'll likely be going in under the radar come championship with our as yet undercooked form, squad experimentation and to a degree understandable hype about our greatest rivals.

We could still stay up no doubt
But all of the same failings from Horans first tenure are still evident
And he doesn’t have the excellent backroom team he has first time around
Tackling has been noticeably poor since he came in

And his in game management .......

We will no doubt be competitive but I can’t shake the feeling someone else is going to steal an AI this year

Just after watching a recording of the deferred coverage there so a little late to the party.

Mayo started very brightly but faded horribly as the match went on.

Monaghan looked a lot sharper and were a helluva lot more clinical in the final third, could have easily tacked on another couple of goals in the last few minutes but tapped over points instead.

Good experience for some on the new young lads I guess

I'll not be too surprised if its Galway. We had our times in the past 10 years and could never takes our chance, looking like a bumpy journey for the next few years.

Looking like ourselves and Tyrone to lose the next two and a winner takes all game to stay up in Castlebar for the last game of the league.

Will be doing well to get anything off Galway or Kerry at this stage, Tyrone have Donegal and Dublin.

Think it's to early to say that about galway yes they are flying and have a solid team and a potential all Ireland winning manager but let's see in a few months when we are in the thick of championship football there is no way they can keep this up till September.

I dont see them doing a roscommon on it but it is still Joyce's 1st yr.

A bit of an overreaction to put it mildly.

Sometimes I think he tweets before he thinks and it's not a good thing.

Did he really think the road would be all that smooth with a team in transition/missing so many players irrespective of any management frailties?

Such impatience is more characteristic of the life of a premiership manager whose lost three games on the roll.

He should have deleted his Twitter after all the horse**** blew over like he said he would. Seems to like the spotlight he has created for himself!

Horan is the man we need for transition imo.

    Totally agree.

These sort of tweets aren't helpful to Mayo football in the slightest.

Why can you not see them playing like this through the season? It's a very body friendly style of football. Ball doing the work so no need for constant lung bursting runs or trying to rush players in and out of defence. It's not an attrittional game at all and you'd only expect that they get better as they bed in the style of play and get missing players back.

Aidan O Shea will be captain for the 2020 season.

    Good call IMO.

    You rang M'lud? ;)

Captaincy might well be the making of him. Don't think it suited CO'C at all.
