Thanks. Yeah we are staying on Eyre Square so was thinking maybe the coyote bar just for ease of access/convenience and all that. We only want to dress up for a few hours then get changed and head out again. (There's 16 of us and we'll be well behaved!) Do they allow the dress-up thing there and other bars close by? They do allow dressing up for stags and hens, to a point, in Quays etc Don't know about Coyote's.
It's usually not a big issue but smaller local people pubs usually don't like it. There's plenty of places around, just walk around Shop street and you'll find somewhere.

They close about midnight I think? There's still plenty clubs open then.
Just make your way up to Shop Street (15 min walk) and you'll see people handing out flyers for the nightclubs.

Hi everyone, we have a group of 19 heading to Galway next weekend, can anyone give some advice on what pubs and clubs to head too.

I'm heading up to a stag in Galway the weekend of November 8th.

Now, already have accommadation sorted (good deal in the stag-friendly and centrally placed Imperial Hotel) and am fairly acquainted with Galway City, but could any locals draw up an "itinery" that they would follow if they were having a seesion in the city. Looking to exploring the wares on offer on the Friday night, going to PureSkill on the Saturday afternoon, and pretty much repeating Friday night's activites from Saturday evening onwards.

Requesting that itinery for pure research purposes as everyone knows that the best guage for a decent drinking establishment are the one's frequented by locals.

Possibly a weird question and forgive my ignorance but are shoes a requirement in Galway nightclubs these days or will I get away with my retro adidas/cons? It's been about 10 years since I last visited and now that I'm a foreigner I kinda want to travel light.

I am trying to organise a stag in Galway for about 10 to 15 lads for the 5th of July, any recommendations for places to stay? It looks like a lot of places are booked out already for some reason

Jury's Inn is usually best as it's on the main street.

Most places won't allow on-line booking for groups.

Phone then, and don't be surpirsed when they ask you to lodge a hefty security deposit - which you will get back if everyone in your group behaves.

I used the imperial for a stag, perfect hotel for a group of lads. They asked for my credit card number as a deposit. All was fine though,

- Have accomodation sorted in the city centre
- Have an activity (pureskill) for the Saturday

Now comes the important stuff ;-)

- I have heard bad things about the strip club but if anyone wants to contradict this I am happy to get your opinions

- Are there any pubs that would allow a stripper to come to the pub? Would you need to book a function room for this? Can't say I have any experience of hiring strippers!

- Is there a decent casino in Galway? I see a few from searching on google but must appear to be more poker clubs. Would ideally be somewhere we could have a few drinks and play some blackjack / roulette (nothing too serious!)

3. I've been to the Eglinton and Four Aces casinos, and both had a bar, roulette and blackjack tables, it certainly wasn't all poker. I'm sure more regular attendees may recommend one for you, but both seem to tick all the boxes you're looking for.

Organising a hen party in Galway and trying to figure out where to go after dinner on the Saturday night. Its a small enough hen party with none of the usual hen party tack and awfulness. We just want to go somewhere with good music and kind of something that will suit everyone. As an absolute hater of nightclubs, I am probably the worst person to figure this out but...!

I've had recommendations for Halo and for Electric Garden? Are these in any way decent? One better than the other? Thanks!

Afternoon? Guessing a lot of places will be busyish with people watching various matches and racing, I'd try calling Fibber Mcgees, King's Head, Front Door, Dail bar and Monroes. All should have the space and all should be able to arrange finger food for you all. Call ahead and maybe you'll be able to swing a deal on the food..
