According to a circular send by DAFM in August - BDGP, Organic Farming Scheme (advance payment), BEEP (Suckler), balancing payments under the ANC and Protein Aid will be paid in December 2020.

Is there likely to be a second iteration / continuation of the BDGP scheme, you'd imagine there is too much money invested in it to leave it off now? Suprised not to have heard anything about a new one yet

It would want to be drastically simplified and imo would need to be matched by some sort of scheme for dairy cross calves as thats where the future of beef is headed unfortunately.

Showing for me in amounts due , I feckin sent in all the information when herdplus said it was deadline and no need of it , but anyway it’s a nice jump from last years one , I’ll do it again if there next year

Yeah. Money for jam. And the weighing is useful info.

Hope it’s extended and added to.

One thing I liked about the weighing was being able to see the weight then after the calves were sold in the mart & see if the DWG added up! Two we sold in the mart after we'd weighed them at home gained 30kg each so both were fairly spot on for the average gain.
