Not a bad first half try by Kelleher. He had the wheels to burn Kearney
    So do I.

Mick Kearney having a very good game. Looks like a young Tadgh Beirne :pac:

Decent response. Connacht will be raging with it though. A lock should never be getting in from there.

Just looking back at it it was Keenan he burned. Not a good outing from the youngster

Think he'd had three handling errors in the first half. And he very nearly dropped under no pressure in the build up that try. He looks hungry and strong, but kinda nervy.

Seriously sick of this narrative for inter pro games
No regard giving to Connacht in the coverage and build up to the game, all the talk was about Leinster having three quality sides.
Now when they are losing, the Leinster support say they are playing ****e.

The reason they are having trouble defensively is the variety of play from Connacht. They have no idea if it going to be a cross field kick, pass along the back line, kick to touch or hard up the middle, the chip was a piece of magic.
Connacht are playing good attacking rugby. Simples!

Except its not that simple. At all.

Look I am not taking anything away from Connachts performance, and if any team is going to beat us I want it to be them. But Connacht are not solely or even mainly responsible for how badly this Leinster side are playing. We are making mistake after mistake, mostly unforced. Our defense is virtually non existent in the back 3 and there are a lot of lads out there in blue who look like their minds are on their Christmas dinner rather than this game.

I expect them to get an arse kicking at half time and be much better in this half. Just as I type this, we score so hopefully we can actually play some decent rugby, both for our sake and that of any neutrals who are looking to be entertained.

Great turn of pace from jc there

That try comes from terrible Leinster defending. Rush up with nobody in mind to tackle.

    Leavy absolutely turned inside out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Gas. I don't think Carty could believe his luck. Leavy going up and Ruddock wasn't getting to him. Good score.

It was strangely aggressive but disjointed alright.

Leinster won a big turnover there and the ref missed it because he couldn't see where the ball was.

Significant miss in the context of the game. Leinster in trouble now.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, I thought connacht just managed to get a secondary clear out in in time before leinster could get the ball to he back on leinter side.

Angus Lloyd was the 24th man according to the 42.

Kearney unlucky to come off. I'd have put him to 6 and taken Ruddock off; he hasn't been at the races at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,303 ✭✭✭crisco10

    Harsh call there against kearney

Pretty sure clanxy just saw the 9 fall and assumed it was kearney who did it.

Bit harsh to penalise Dave Kearney for making a good clear out!

    That's a bizarre penalty.

Frawley looking far more assured at 15 than Keenan. And by that I mean that he's actually there.

Butler might end being checked for that shoulder to the head. Falling player so nothing malicious.

Ugh. Thought it was a penalty when it happened in real time. Blade bought it but ROL can't blame anyone but himself.

Let's connacht relieve the pressure. Frustrating

    Toland doesn't know the rules

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,303 ✭✭✭crisco10

Even if it hits his head, the 2nd man is still ahead and therefore offside.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,970 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

The replay clearly showed it came off Blades hand. I don't know what Toland's talking about saying it comes off his head.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Game slipping away for Leinster. Getting nervy and snatching at chances. Some guys who have been getting good press of late undoing the work it was based on.

Connacht need to settle down. Hang onto the ball and pin it back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,516 ✭✭✭swiwi_

The laws thread is this way toland...

Not a knock on....but still offside...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,812 ✭✭✭thelad95

Has Toland ever played the game??

Connacht tackler doesn't roll away, seals the ball off, Connacht poacher comes in. Penalty Connacht?

    Ok.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

That penalty and 10 concession for not giving up the ball sums it up for Leinster. Could be game!

Connacht much better. Leinster going backwards in every tackle from what I can see.

No ruck, Leinster 9 the only player there. Came through the gate, played the ball not the 9. Knocked on, scrum blue ball
