    The Gt was a 1.4 8valve turbo, the mk2 hgt was a 1.8 16valve NA.

Ah that's what it was, drove a few of the 2nd version.

After that there was the 2.4 paddle shift still, drove one, was different..

Sweet Jesus, now that you mention it the likes of that is pretty piss poor language for someone who sells cars in a professional capacity.

It would seem that some here are bumming up this car to be a different machine entirely to the regular run of the mill Mk 1 Fiat Punto. Yet the only reason that "the elderly woman" bought it for was the power steering....Come on something does not ad up here.

Their is no way this car was bought for power steering, you could get the 1.6 sporting and maybe lower models at the time.
This feels completely different than a regular Punto and makes you want to drive it (I'd be shocked if it wasn't driven hard), I've a mk7 Golf R and I still miss my last Gt, the overboost on it made it fun to drive within speed limits.

A 1995 Fiat for 9k, It is just a little banger to me to be honest. A lot of nice cars you could buy for 9k.

What a find! It has it all; undesirable model, shocking photos, plenty of comical ad text and idiotic asking price.

Price aside, looking at the other ad he has listed it should be well looked after.

He has the other car advertised as a 1970 car when it's an 85 reg and has never had an mot.

It's all about marketing and he does it well in fairness. He has the cars well "advertised" through Instagram before they ever go on donedeal

It gets cars sold which is the name of the game and I’ll never knock them for that, but if I was spending upwards of €7k for a 30+ year old Honda Accord I’d expect some professionalism be it in social media or in person

    https://www.donedeal.ie/view/23632106

And I’ll never be spending that kinda money so my point is moot really. Lol

I agree. He's asking top dollar for everything and he's excessive for a lot of stuff but he has a massive following and if only one or two of them show a serious interest, he's on a winner

I see their €30,000 Honda S2000 has been marginally reduced.

I am familiar with Ford Escort Gti's, they were just a standard 1.6 escort with side skirts. School friend had a blue one of these nearly 20 years ago. Gti on these cars were just a trim level. There was nothing remotely Gti about them. They were marketed as end of life models since the escort was going out the window. They came with a 1.8 engine as well which seemed to be for UK models. The irish ones seemed to be all 1.6 models. They are not fast, so don't be conned by the "Gti" badge on the doors.

Between yourself, vectra, Passatman86 and Avens1st, the medium segment is well represented!

It's the model before the one, with the 4 sprung doors

I really do like the look of this but obviously not at that price.

What would be a decent price to get it at considering its condition?

    €2k

There’s a decent enough market for good examples IMO
