Maybe there are new ones coming out shortly. That might explain the low stock numbers everywhere.

I asked that with PS and they said no, they were still making them. I thought the same tbh, but I'd imagine any redesign is for PSVR2.

The PSVR isnt exactly selling well yet so they might be producing them to order in batches. That way they dont end up with surplus of stock.

They've sold nearly 4.5m VR headsets. I would think that's pretty good.

I wonder will the headset be compatible with ps5 and if a new headset is being planned for that.

My mates PS4's 1TB storage was getting full so I decidesld to put some games that i bought onto an external hardrive.

Questions are if there is an 'Update file' to any one of the games on the external hardrive does it require any action from me?

Can I play the games that are on the external hardrive on any ps4? Say i bought one for myself

Not sure if this is the right thread,

    Cheers lads.

They said it's compatible, but whether that means it can be used on PS5 games or just PS4 games isn't clear

The games are linked to your mates account so unless his account is on the PS4 you're playing on, you won't be able to play those games.

Thats actually very poor but its a trend across the entire VR market. VR uptake just isn't has quick as the industry presumed.

It will improve but very slowly.

Too expensive with not enough compelling software, this should get better with time.

THey have confirmed that the current PSVR will work with the PS5, and there most likely won't be a PSVR2 for the PS5 straight away, so I'd imagine it will work as it always has, and the PSVR2 will be an upgrade, rather than a replacement. That's what I'm hoping anyway. I'm also hoping the PS5 will bring in and support multiple tracking sensors so it can be more accurate.

Tbh, VR is cutting me off too much from surroundings for me to want to use it.

All the games I bought my own account was used.

I see Days of Play sale next weekend will have the VR starter pack for 200 and VR Mega Pack for 230. Do either of those come with move controllers and would you need move controllers for many games?

    Doesn't look like it does

Hmmm just seems like 5 games for the extra 30 quid. Surely a 'mega pack' would included controllers.

Im not sold on VR at all yet,i had a Oculus Rift for about a year then sold it.

Its novel and fun initially but i just cant sit for any great amount of time with the headset plonked on my noggin.

I think all the games included can be (or in some cases have to be) played with the Dualshock, so the Move controllers aren't required. But I agree the move controllers should be included in some form of bundle pack, even as a optional thing.

I used the VR for a good while after I got it, but other non-VR games came up and I haven't really gone back to it since, bar the odd game of Beat Saber if I have friends over. With Blood & Truth and Trover Saves the Universe out now/soon, I think I'll play Days Gone and then dip my toe back into playing VR. The headset is surprisingly comfortable and even as someone who wears glasses, I've never found it to be uncomfortable. That said I rarely play VR for too long simply because it's weird not being able to see anything in the room as you do it for that long.

When these promos are on Smyths will usually chuck in a pair of Move controllers for an extra €50 if they have stock.

I don't think they will anymore, they surely know there's a massive demand for them as they're as rare as hens teeth, or at least were. The Gamestop website showed 2 in every store in Limerick yesterday, but only the one in the Crescent actually had any.

And the problem with PSVR is movement imo. There's no fun way to move while in VR currently, but I'm hoping the 3D Rudder will resolve this, and if correctly supported should help bring VR to the next level (insofar as movement is concerned). The movement has stopped me from enjoying some games (Skyrim).

I've never played a Rainbow Six game before, but like the look of them. What game would people recommend for a) the primarily single player experience for easing myself into it and b) the online experience?

I see that they have finally updated the online store along with the store in the app, what do people think of the new design ?

Does the Playstation store download very slowly? Bought spiderman last night, triggered the download from the store's site. Flicked on Playstation about 90 minutes later and it was downloading, but was expecting 16 hours to finish downloading, I checked in a few hours later and was still saying 8 hours to go.

We have decent Internet in the house, and downloads on phones/laptops of similar size would be finished much much quicker.

Psn can be extremely slow to download when traffic is high, doesn't help that the network adapter on the PlayStation isn't particularly good.

Pausing and restarting the download usually makes it go much faster.

Or putting it into rest seems to work the best for me. Upgraded to the 1Gb Fiber recently and noticed a massive improvement in speeds in general, but still slow as balls when doing anything else, even just leaving it on the dashboard doing nothing it will be slower to download.
