    Callinan should be locked up.

At least Drew Harris is considering asking for the plug to be pulled on funding his defence.

I'm curious to know if any if the friends who turned their backs on the couple have since apologised.

It seems like he upset a very small number of people who really deserved to be upset.

Maurice McCabe is an amazing man. I just cannot believe that Martin Callanan is not in jail but instead is retired with his big fat pension.

Callinan is a failure of a human being, he should be criticised for his role and have no positive legacy. Despicable brute.

Unbelievable, I hope the McCabes get millions

Does it matter whether McCabe is awkward and odd or not? What we should be taking from this is what he was put through for daring to put his head above the parapet.

Fair dues to John McGuinness. He was faced with a serious dilemma. Making the wrong judgement would have cost him his career, but thankfully he choose to trust Maurice McCabe and it was the right decision.

It's terrifying to think what Callinan was capable of doing to anyone. Coming up with sick accusations to ruin McCabe's life.
The fact this order came from the top means they could have ruined anyone's life with accusations like that.
If McCabe didn't have that friend on the inside he could have been sewn up with possession of a computer full of images of children.
Callinan should be ****ed in jail but we know that wouldn't happen. You'd like to think his life is ruined and that he'll have to stay housebound for a long time. A sick twisted man. I hope McCabe takes millions off him in a civil case for damages.

Seems like a decent man, he certainly could see Callanan for what he really was - after the comments Callanan made to him in private, no wonder he believed McCabe.

You have to admire him and his family. He was a honest decent Garda. Fairplay to him not going in with a hoodie.

Callinan and Noirin O'Sullivan, what a pair.

Having watched the 1st part anyone who chooses to abuse McCabe on this thread is either a bit odd, twisted or has a vested interest.

Both her and her associates (cronies) at the top ranks all lost their phones and laptops. Thus no evidence could be extracted from them.

Having covered their tracks on the rest were they at least charged with negligently "losing" state property. Were they fuck

He is odd though and had upset a lot of people, it sounds like he was looking to hang colleagues to get ahead. It's such a weird case / story.

4 posts and only regged. Hmmmm. Climb back under that stone wenched you came from.

Well RTE are doing a good job at that themselves for us online viewers.

This is getting so bad I think I will have to give it a miss.
Higher quality TV is my agenda! They could get rid of the woosey ambient X files styled music track.

And do you think Maurice McCabe was right to try and highlight the corruption?
What do you think of how he was treated?
What do you think of the lies spread around about him abusing kids?
What do you think of Martin Callinan?

What did he actually expose? That some people didn't like him?

    He's a media strawman
