With what child rapist is MD friends? That’s news to me?
He met with a foreign leader in the 80s seemingly, who was subsequently accused of rape in 1998.
I don't think they have met since, but if you believe the posters on here he is best mates with him!

Both you and I know well that the money was not used to buy any property, anywhere.

But I presume you're equally concerned that McAleese wasn't off on a property spree at the State's expense, because the same rules applied to her.

How do we know that ? Where is the proof ?

Do you know what "unvouched" means ?

His buddy Ortega in Nicaragua. Raped his step daughter then invoked political immunity to stop charges being pressed. Mickey tried to meet up with him again in 2013, but their schedules clashed, Mickey stated at the time "Nicaragua is for the future".

So expect a nice South American jolly to his dictator buddy in the next few years if Mickey wins.
He didn't meet with him in 2013 as you say, he was meant to head to Nicaragua but It was dropped from the schedule. I'd say what he said was the diplomatic thing to say, you know what a president would do, he didn't cause embarrassment to either parties.

I imagine that the last 800 years will be seen as a success if that knob Corbyn gets in to the UK.

Him and Dobby are both massive fans of corrupt Central American regimes, it couldn't end well!

Money D....christ you are really reaching for anything aren't you.
A statement was made which didn't cause embarassment the either party, there is every chance Ortega was still in the country.

If you keep up this spinning we could connnect you to the national grid as a dynamo.

Surely it would be less embarrassing not to put it on the official list of countries that would be visited?? I’m sure he didn’t visit each and every country in the region.

    Pathetic reasoning.

You are coming across like declan ganley.... Sure he threw up a picture of Ortega and Michael D claiming it was from 2011.... When it was from the 80s.
Just keep throwing muck and hope something sticks. Like casey and his 10k to groom the dogs paid for by the state (which was BS clearly) .... Then an attack ad for same... Also digging at him for not having an Irish dog lol.

Yeah. And he'll take the opportunity of his next term to visit them ignoring the fact that he didn't visit them during the last 7 years while he was also president.

You can't deny that MDH had very warm words about Castro on his death and his crimes were well known

In a campaign with 3 dragons. You think the one focused most on money is the lifelong public servant?

I am not surprised. Just entertained.

He also said that it is common to be respectful when a fellow head if state passes away and that he did make a mistake however in not highlighting the human rights issues at the time.

The dragons went out and made their money.

Money D took his from the public teat. Even when the people of Galway denied him a seat in Dáil Éireann he was given a cushy number in the Seanad by Labour. 50 years, and how many millions of the public’s money, as a politician and the greatest achievement people can point to is that he backed the establishment of an Irish language tv station.

    Hardly a political colossus.

    Vote cast Casey no1.

Consider myself liberal, but with all the media mistruths about Casey's comments they are making me feel a tad unclean.

But a vote for Casey is a vote for workers, his the only politician to speak about about our welfare state and that everyone should be treated equally. Hopefully his comments might ignite some discussion long-term in relation to the issues.

It's certainly better that a millionaire "socialist" who has befriended & admired a few dictator's

The fact that he's a green card holder and doesn't pay tax in Ireland while running for president of the country of Ireland doesn't concern you in any way no?

You also seem to be confusing socialist with communist.

It has nothing to do with the workers, not a single thing.

How many times does it need to be said that Casey won’t change anything. He can’t.

It would be lovely if those lamenting the cries of the "middle income" practised what they preached and started to look closer to home to see what they could do for the betterment of society.

Heaven forbid, maybe even get involved in our political system instead of thinking voting a guy to an office with zero powers will make a difference.

So you are saying we can vote for who we want, and it doesn't matter because they can't change anything. Cool, I'm gonna vote for Casey.

I find it truly disturbing that so many people who I personally know we're supporting MDH yet weren't aware of his friendship & admiration for dictator's. The Castro comments after his death being a very recent example.

What has our Taoiseach done about this welfare state except boost it more. It will be far harder for those vermin to get away with their ****, backed up by the complicit media, when a man occupying the highest office in the lands speaks up for the silent majority.

If you read my comment, which you quoted. I said hopefully it will lead to a discussion on the topics his raised during the campaign. I never mentioned that Casey could/would or should inact legislation about the issues.

But maybe, just maybe he can ignite a discussion

Absolutely you can. Just stop deluding yourself that it’s something it isn’t.

None of them are good candidates. Need to look at the system that allows these ones through. It's almost as if councils controlled by large political parties wanted weak candidates.
