He didn't meet with him in 2013 as you say, he was meant to head to Nicaragua but It was dropped from the schedule. I'd say what he said was the diplomatic thing to say, you know what a president would do, he didn't cause embarrassment to either parties.

Consider myself liberal, but with all the media mistruths about Casey's comments they are making me feel a tad unclean.

But a vote for Casey is a vote for workers, his the only politician to speak about about our welfare state and that everyone should be treated equally. Hopefully his comments might ignite some discussion long-term in relation to the issues.

It's certainly better that a millionaire "socialist" who has befriended & admired a few dictator's

It would be lovely if those lamenting the cries of the "middle income" practised what they preached and started to look closer to home to see what they could do for the betterment of society.

Heaven forbid, maybe even get involved in our political system instead of thinking voting a guy to an office with zero powers will make a difference.
