    That can be explained by

    Stradivarius ( slow by 14.51 )

    Cracksman ( slow by 4.79 )

    Roaring Lion ( slow by 3.88 )

For a bit of perspective Magical was ( slow by 4.78 ) over 12f and Sharjah Bridge was ( slow by 4.90 ) over 1m and Sands Of Mali was ( slow by 1.88 ) over 6f.

Cracksman's relatively slower win than Magical's somehow gets an 131 rpr while Magical has to make do with 118 rpr.

Verbal Dexterity who was thrashed 9 3/4L behind Cracksman in 6th out of 8 was judged to have run to 111 rpr which was +9 on his previous 9 3/4L 102 rpr thrashing by Roaring Lion 122 rpr and Saxon Warrior 121 rpr in the Irish Champion Stakes. Never mind the close up presence of the moderate Subway Dancer ( beaten in 16 straight lower class races previously ) the Racing Post uses the power of Magical thinking 😉

Oh yes completely down to how the race was run. But still impressive for a stayer on ground that we can be fairly sure wouldnt have shown him at his best.

Oh yeah it was quite impressive and he's built like an 8-10f horse so showing a turn of foot is right up his street. Given how disappointing Flag Of Honour was I wonder is it worth putting his run down to it turning into a sprint ( and getting value on his price in the future ) or his not being as good as he seemed to be?

This is an astonishing figure even if they did crawl around.

Just saying that Stradivarius ran a quicker closing 3 furlongs than Cracksman or Roaring Lion.
