    Isn't that red level speeds?

Fastnet is way offshore and is elevated.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,261 ✭✭✭Gaoth Laidir

Fastnet gusts shouldn't be even considered when mentioning warning levels as the anemometer is 600 ft above the sea.

Looking at those last charts posted is that showing the strongest winds running up along the south east coast into the Irish sea or am i reading them all wrong?

Gusts up to 100km near the cliffs of Moher, have to work there in the morning, that'll be fun

Wasn’t expecting it to be this bad so early. Galway city, heavy rain, strong winds and howling gusts making things shake a little. Thought I was only going to wake up to it, not fall asleep with it.

This is nothing out of the usual here in the SW of beara.
Maybe it's a bit early in the year.

Be grand folks. Have a cuppa tea and ride it out

Quite scary sounding in the upstairs of the dormer on an exposed hill in North Cork... Hope roof stays in tact.

4,321 without power now. Seems to be confined to Kerry and Limerick or there abouts at the moment.

The jetstream is visible on satellite. If you play through the frames on sat24 you can even see it firing little cirrus lasers.

Give them the day off, I have done so with orange since Darwin destroyed Limerick while they sat petrified in class.

Tis picking up alright, am listening to the sheets of metal on the hay barn flapping...hoping they stay intact. When’s the peak?
