    Glad to see 3D Touch is still here, probably removed from the cheaper LCD model and thats what the rumours got confused by.

    The smaller model starts at $399 in the US. So probably around €500 for the bigger model in Ireland. I paid €350 for my series 1 if I remember right.

    The quoted 18 hours battery life is not 18 hours standby time. I don’t wear my watch in bed, but I don’t turn it off when I take it off. If I charged my watch tonight before going to bed (and unplugged it from the charger), I won’t have to charge it again until Saturday night, and that would include two 1 hour workouts using a Bluetooth chest strap heart rate monitor

    Most people upgrade on a 2-3 year cycle but this looks a fairly big upgrade (hardware wise) for a year on year upgrade.

    No it doesn’t. It’s probably the smallest jump I’ve seen them do. They’d usually chuck in a new killer feature and this is just looking a mild spec bump. I was at least expecting Face ID to be upgraded to work in landscape. There is nothing there for me.

    If I had an X there is no way I would upgrade. Hopefully stupid people will though and the X will get cheap but I see its prices staying stable

    I got the X on launch so I was hoping for a smaller incremental upgrade this year to keep away the envy. For X owners it's not a must have. But for anybody on an older iPhone its a great overall update.
