You just have to look at a few Apres Match episodes to realise how precious Harte is being about this.

Just to be clear, you are making the point that Mike Harte has no right to get upset because other people don't get upset at apres match? That's a serious stretch.

Any team that wins an all Ireland is a great team, these are never easy won and a lot of counties would love to win one, just look at last weekend result.

In my opinion Mickey was totally out of line in the first instance making comments to RTE regarding the use of Brian Certy, to even consider that you could influence the planning of an independent organisation is laughable.

That isn't puke football, that is how the game should be played, according to the puritans of West Kerry.

The sooner Dublin do 'the five in a row' next year the better. It will finally put an end to the Kerry supremacy nonsense. Listening to Spillane et al spouting about Kerry football is draining to say the least.

It's notable too that a huge amount of people believe now that Michaela was directly referenced in a skit on probably one of the most innocuous, inoffensive programmes RTE ever had on air. The idea that John Murray would be involved in what would have been one of the most shocking things RTE ever did, is ridiculous.

Harte or nobody else is very quick to correct that.

When Tyrone footballers were involved in abusing a young man about his father's death the Tyrone County Board closed ranks.
They are a shower of hypocrites.

In fairness, that particular allegation was investigated by the Ulster Council and their finding that it didn't happen was accepted by both teams.

I can categorically assure you it happened. Proving it was the issue.

Well, even if it did, I would think management of most underage or minor teams would have found themselves in that position to a greater or lesser serious degree. Young people mouthing off inappropriately or acting rashly is an entirely different thing to adults keeping a trivial huff going for 8 years.

That's grand we'll take some chap on the internet using a fake name for his word over an investigation by Ulster Council!!

    Go on then.

Categorically assure me. I'm not saying it didn't happen, in fact nothing would surprise me but for you to come out with a definitive statement like that, I'm intrigued.

Dooher would fall down if you even sneezed in his direction.

    Yeah that never actually happened.
Canavan famously threw an unprovoked punch at then 19 year old Colm Cooper, knocking him to the ground. Canavan was in his 30s at the time.
No red or yellow card for either player.
    Hence puke football.

When was this? Canavan was the only inter county player in history to throw a punch?

Puke football for throwing a dig....so every game of football and hurling is puke...ok.

Fascinating documentary on Tyrone on TG4 right now. Seems to be about overcoming adversity and building resistance in times of need.

Whatever we think of Mickey Harte and his personal battles, his managerial reign will live long in GAA folklore. The success he brought to Tyrone is remarkable from schools to All Ireland’s at senior level
