Most would struggle trying to get up to size with general TH standards, going up an extra 10kg to move to TH from LH is a huge jump, especially when you're trying to make sure it's not just shít weight. Porter had the luxury of already being around the 120kg mark as a LH with the under 20s.

Don't think weight was an issue for Milne, some props are loosheads and some are tightheads..

Milne will be a loosehead going forward and they have the hugely promising Tom Clarkson at tighthead coming through.

    I love you scrummieman!!!
    Great match!!! Ireland deserved winners.
I thought the blindside was fantastic. He was everywhere and alongside Penny and Hodnett they really functioned well.
The backline is quick and well drilled. Lots of potential among them.
Bear in mind McCarthy from last season and Kernahan didn't play.
They look good and if they can cut out the silly errors, they can be a contender.

Considering Baird and Allison to comeback and potentially the Ulster winger I'd say there in good health,

however even if Allison is fit can you bring him into a Backrow that functioned so well??

    Maybe on the Bench

Only change masters on the bench?
Good to see Hawkshaw fit I thought it looked a serious knee injury.

And Casey I see, he's a big loss.

Does Foley have another year at this level. (1999 October birthday). I'm never sure how eligibility works.

Does anyone know if Baird and Allison just werent selected or if they a still injured? - It would be pretty tough to drop the into an u20 six nations game relatively undercooked and low on game time

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,248 ✭✭✭kingofthekong

So the game isnt televised anywhere? thats pretty annoying - Sometimes the Scotland rugby youtube channel do them but not this time

Aaron Sexton will be in the team when he finishes school/hits puberty.

Although after the u20 result last week they look better off without any of our u20's

Their top prospects at this age group:

Callum Reid(LH Prop) - quit rugby last season but has returned this season and involved with Ulster sub-academy.
Claytan Milligan(Hooker) - made Ireland squads at u18 and u19 level, but failed to push on this season. Playing AIL for Ballynahinch.
Bradley Luney(Lock) - failed to make squad.
    JJ McKee(Lock) - in wider U20 squad.
Azur Allison(Backrow) - in squad but injured.
Jamie MacCartney(Backrow) - involved with Ireland u18/u19, playing rugby in england now.
Bruce Houston(Outhalf/Fullback) - in squad but injured.
Stewart Moore(Centre) - in squad but injured.
Angus Kernohen(Wing) - in squad but injured.

Was it not HIA after the knock he took to his head?
He's had trouble with both knees so that would be a disaster if true.

    seems promising

Its not that bad and you will always have years where there is poorer rep than others

would slow down hype on him but you would expect him to be. He'll likely be playing irish 19s over next few months

It's being played out of an absolutely tiny town in the depths of Scotland. Surprised if they even have TV's out there
