2 rumbles already in south west mayo. Clouds darkening. No rain yet. Bought grass fertilizer for lawn 3 weeks back and never got chance to spread it. Thinking about putting it out before the inevitable deluge.

hi folks, can anyone give me an idea on how Gorey Co Wexford will fare this evening. Have a BBQ planned, and a rain and lightning storm will scupper this somewhat

Hearing certain rumbles in Salthill here.

Should be one of nicest parts of the country this evening. Very unlikely to rain

Cell approaching Galway city has really pepped up in the last 10 minutes or so. May well start spitting out sparks over the city centre.

Still nice and sunny in Castlebar but a grave darkness hangs over Westport and the mountains to the south.

The lightningmaps.org site is brilliant. Watching the expanding circle of thunder approaching then hearing it outside is very entertaning!

In the Galway region, Tuam looks like being in the firing line soon and perhaps Athenry.
