In fairness not bad for free!
Country music not my thing at all.

I did go to free counting crows one...it was brutal...Alison Krauss was good though.

I'm looking forward to bluesfest again this year and the possibility of a freebie.

Saw Robert Plant and Van for free. Was an excellent night.

Didn't think Counting Crows were great either. Concert was only ok. If I had paid for the tickets (which I nearly did a few months beforehand) I would have been more annoyed about it.

The songs were "ok"....the pretentious rambles before every bloody song were horrendous.

I saw them in the Point a few years ago, and it was a good gig, but he did go on about ex loves/life/sadness before the songs were played !! :rolleyes:

Lads on the smashing pumpkins website theres a link to presale access so we need to find out how that works. If anyone has any idea how the pre-sale access works for them please let myself or any of us know cause im sure a lot of us here would like to go and will be up against the touts

Not sure he's as big a draw as he might have been previously. Not even sure the Pumpkins would sell out the 3arena never mind Billy solo. Their recent "comeback" tour in the States wasn't the massive success they anticipated crowd-wise.

I'll hopefully be there anyway - certainly for the SP material.

If you go on their website you can sign up to their mailing list and i think that grants you access to presale tickets. I think they would sell well here depending on ticket prices obviously ill hopefully be there anyway wont be hopeful though after Alice in Chains

I was at the Smashing Pumkins show at Wembley arena back in October. A few blocks of empty seats around the arena. Standing was packed though.

Suppose it would be too much expecting Kevin Morby to come to these shores any time soon. He’s playing a few European gigs this year but none here.

He was announced for July in grand social last week tickets went on sale

Was there too, good number of seats unsold, standing fairly healthy alright but don't think sold out. Employing a gold circle in an arena didn't sit right with me quite frankly disgusting and general ad wasn't exactly cheap. No doubt show is all seated here so he can charge the privelege for the front rows.

Had a feeling at the gig if they couldn't sell out that one sole London show in a 12k venue they wouldn't get the business here that Billy desired, SP on the road and rocks up here on his own with tickets starting at nearly €70 could be a good gig but absolutely no thanks.

Absolutely no chance EP want to offer a fine spread of acts while they turn a profit, booking SP would minimise both and have minimal effect audience wise you'd imagine.
