The notch debate should be for another thread :D

I personally like it, sure in 1-2 years the standard will be notch-less phones ;) (Check out Vivo Apex Phone)

I think it's just a stop gap form factor myself.
They have to be working on putting the camera and other sensors under a screen, so that they are seamless.

What do people reckon the likelihood of a 6T is?

I'd be shocked if a 6T wasn't released before Christmas

Aye, I really want to upgrade from my 3 but I know it would infuriate me when the T comes out in a few months time.

Admittedly bizarre psychology given that the 7 would then be a few months after that :(

Is there a big difference between the two models? What's the purpose of the non-t model?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,752 ✭✭✭Roberto_gas

T is released to catch up with other flagships and fix issues with Normal series devices...

6T shud have a better camera and probably finger print scanner within the screen...if not 7 will definitely have it...

    I personally feel thr wont be a 6T this time...directly 7...

Waiting for the 6 after comments Re the 5T here, and to be honest given that the T models are incremental updates adding polish, while the "main" models entail a full refresh of chipset, etc., I'd personally rather got for the H1 releases unless there's something terrible about the phone. Generally the delta to the following T is less than that from the T to the next major drop (at least based on recent trends), so the H1 releases arguably have a slightly greater longevity.

No mention of the 256gb version there.

No mention of the 256gb version there.

Is there going to be one? Looks like the LG G7's twin brother.

As per leaks the 8/128 gb version is going to cost 559 on amazon germnay...so it looks excellent pricing assuming ireland will have same cost or maybe 3% more for vat...

And it looks like OIS is back...if thats the case...i might reconsider this phone againat s9+...

I thought the higher spec would be €599-€629 this time around.

    Optical image stabilization ??

    Optical Image Stabilisation

    What's OIS?

Lack of OIS is what many critics have said makes oneplus cameras lag when compared to flagships...3T has OIS but the lens is not same as 5 or 5T...if OIS is actually there it should improve photos dramatically even if same lenses as in 5/5T are used...lets see...

Is OIS based on software or hardware. If it is software can we expect it to be rolled out to the 5 also?

It's hardware. EIS is the software version of it...but obviously OIS is far better!

I always buy one straight after the launch event, nothing to lose as I try it for a day or two , if I like it I keep it otherwise sell it. Never have lost money as manage to sell them for cost price in the first week or two.

619e for the 256gb version. I'm such a mark for ****e like this. Everything I use is on the cloud, my contract has more GBs than I could ever use up so a 64/128GB version would be absolutely fine but knowing there was a "better" version out there would gnaw away at me.
