My view on the trial in Belfast is, if the jury were not 100% beyond reasonable doubt then they gave the right verdict.
I remember when everyone believes RTE's primetime investigates about the priest that they accused of sexual offenses and having a child, and it all turned out 100% false, so accusers should be believed is a bad start, their claim should be investigated and take it from there.

Such an idiotic justice system that the defendents get named before the verdict is reached.

They'd need to watch their words here, they could get sued.

PJ said he'll take anyone to court.

Yep that was awkward. he had to shed all the smiles and laughter to introduce the rape trial discussion. Could they not have let it go to the break and then introduce the item?

He was probably insinuating time to put on the kettle for some bovril or something stronger

Expect an apology read out on the radio next week from someone thats covering for ray!

Richie Sadler the chap that does the football. Never knew he was a psychotherapist.

He has an ease and practical approach about him that suggests he would be good at it.

    I like Richie, always have

My bingo card for the next topic:

    Toxic masculinity
    Lad culture
    misogyny
Somehow squeeze in something about the Catholic Church

Knock back a shot whenever some lad on here denies the existence of toxic masculinity, lad culture and misogyny.

With all this rage my number 1 question on it is why did the woman voluntarily go twice in to the mans bedroom, was she looking for a game of chess?

Yes but as in a game of chess one mis-calculates and looses.

The evidence is likely not there, it goes on a he said she said and add in alcohol and it's flick of a coin what happened.

What does going into rooms have anything to do with it? people go in and out of peoples bedrooms a lot. Going into a bedroom doesnt mean full on sex. Would having an en suite bathroom negate your suspicion.

I have no idea what happened in reality but being in a womans room twice in one night doesnt mean sex

Yep and a certain percentage of people seem to think that's enough to convict the 'he'. Crazy when you think about it.
What time is the boxing start?

    Should be starting soon.

Do these people realise that most people don't sit at a table with a pot of tea on the stove and agree to sign contracts expressly agreeing to consent?

I thought the second captains podcast was very good and they would have been better to try and replicate it on here rather than what they have. Why have they decided on famous rape survivor as a guest.

Why didnt they get the person who co-teaches sex-ed with Ritchie as a guest?

    Is 'deceitful femininity' a thing?

I don't think this conversation suits this show. I don't mind these chats on the LLS but it doesn't fit in here
