I had a nightmare but the last dream I had was lovely and washed it away . My alarm clock is the swallows nest outside my bedroom window . And the birds in the trees under it. During the summer you could record rainforest sound effects out there . They've been quiet because of the storms recently , but they were back this morning , and they (and sunshine streaming through the window) woke me up. Looked out at the hazel tree almost in full bright green leaf, raindrops shining, and it was full of finches (I think . I'm better with plants than birds .)
I saw (presumably) mother &father Swallow swoop from under the eaves to join them . They look fat and happy. My cat stretched out on the bedpost watching intently.

I feel very happy to be alive.

I'm a big fan of a certain type of trainer, needed a new pair but I've been putting it off for a while now, stuck the nose into the Nike outlet near where I live, found two different coloured pairs at half price. Two for the price of one! Happy Days!

Poached eggs are usually the bane of my cooking experience, but this morning they turned out perfectly at my first attempt.

I'm the same when cooking fried eggs! 90% of the time I make a mess of them :)

TH, yesterday walking back from the parade, I caught a little fellas balloon for him before it blew away!

Thinking back to this time ten years ago. I was just out of hospital and so weak I could hardly walk. Great to be fit and well.
