The only plus is she said she lived a healthy lifestyle and got cancer, perhaps the drink and smokes is where the health is :pac:

My Mam was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer...Well, not quite but a variant of that and liver cancer so she reckoned she'd have taken up the booze if she'd known :)

One set of traffic lights in the whole county, I've been told. Never been there myself.

The village I’m from is after getting traffic lights :D does that mean Leitrim is a small very small place ;)

Is Leitrim really that bad? I drove through Roscommon years ago, didn't stop and it was bleak. Can't imagine that it's much worse than Roscommon.

    Leitrim's worse.

    Because we're Irish.
I've never been to a doctor.

Not sure it's the reason Irish blokes don't go to have their prostate examined. We're a bit like that.

An obvious mistake but program guide says this is on until 2:10am

    It better be a mistake

Good merciful Jaysus. I'm have that time listed on my Saorview combi box at home. I hope to god this it is a mistake too.

This would equate to an extra 2 hours and 40 minutes of Tubs & his antics on RTÉ One if this was correct.

Ooooh boogey men new stuff coming to get us

Methinks Ryan didn't research Mark Hamill enough, as he posted here:

Also he posted about the film with the sound down too

Could be worse. This is Temple Bar right now:

Can you imagine Good Fri :o
Budget for the Sandtex ad must have been €24.99

No doubt purchased in the Fiver Fri sale today ;)
I hope springsteen doesnt end up singing like that when he turns 70

Now singing on Broadway too, no rest for him, hope he doesn't lose it

The real question is "what's right with Leitrim?". The answer would be nothing! :D

    I’ll see myself out.

Seems people live with it until they're told they have it, that's when the mind takes over and progresses it. Placebo effect, everyone is ok until they're told.
    Why is that ?

100 years ago was cancer around?

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,580 ✭✭✭✭Alf Veedersane

It's a bit mad...there isn't anyone that hasn't been visited by cancer but items like this are always a bit jarring.

At €60 a go for a few minute consultation the NCT on your car lasting 20 minutes plus is much better value.

They're not actually ok if they have cancer and don't know about it.

They just have cancer and aren't being treated.

Probably was but I'm not sure they knew what it was and often put deaths from it down to other things.

    That's our Linda

Linda did this and the Mick McCarthy duet earlier.

She was always very generous with charitable causes.
