Have to say I grew up with the original trilogy and loved it.. that music is so emotive...
But the first follow up movie....was such a pile of **** I've not seen any of the others since.

The middle 3 were utter b*llocks.

    The recent ones are excellent.

I am always amused by celebrity fortune valuations.

It would take their own advisors a while to get a reasonably accurate estimate of the stars portfolios, even having all the confidential information to hand.

These rich lists are plucked out of thin air, most celebs have squirrelled millions away from the public eye.

Yeah but is it not a bit like the footballers before Sky started pumping money into the game...He probably didn't make huge sums and probably didnt get great advice on squirreling away money then either

I'm not sure what the Yanks make of the cute hoorism, they would probably feel ripped off if they didn't experience it.

I know what you mean. The middle three were so shyte, it put me right off the current lot. It felt like a betrayal. But I saw the last one (of the new bunch) by accident and it was much, much better than I expected. Give 'em a go. I think you'll like them. They will never be as good as the original trilogy, but they are streets ahead of threesome of doom.

    Carrie Fisher was amazing.

Now, don't be telling me you haven't see The Blues Brothers.

  • Registered Users Posts: 72,286 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

    Nerdy fact...

Dan Aykroyd proposed to Carrie Fisher on the set of ‘The Blues Brothers’.

Did he not realise that she could have him blown-up, shot at, or incinerated by a flamethrower?

    My favourite tinker song...

Back in the camcorder days I filmed MacGowan singing "Free born man of the traveling people". I must convert it some day. Along with the shoe box of other stuff I have.
