Might Bite is a gift of a price unless it has lost a leg or something?

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,051 ✭✭✭✭StringerBell

Apples Shakira is gone pretty short, Might Bite is certainly one to look at ground or not at that price

Said the same myself above, can't believe his price, still available at 9/2 so I'll be going in again. Surely he'll be backed into clear favouritism tomorrow.

Anyone give Fabulous Saga a chance tomorrow in the Albert Bartlett? He beat Delta Work over Xmas and seems a big price at 33/1.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11 Aoidondoi

    Selections for tomorrow:

    1.30 Apples Shakira
    2.10 Flying Tiger e/w
    2.50 Fabulous Saga e/w
    3.30 Might Bite

King George Mite Bite beat Double Shuffle by 1L. Mite Bite 9/2 Double Shuffle 66/1
Is there that much of a difference between the 2 ?
    Opinions welcome cos I'm baffled

    Another good day today!!

Forget the trends, i can see wee dicky getting Native home tommorow, ground to suit, nice prep really won't be far away.

Apples Shakira will make it look hard but at the same time win with quite a bit up her sleeve. North Hill Harvey in GA and Chef Des Obeaux in the AB. Game ba**ard, the exact type you need to win this race.

Thats my lot to finish the week with a bang..

    Triumph
    Apple's shakira should take this

    Albert Bartlett
TOWER BRIDGE had Dortmund Park 6L behind when winning lto. TB 20/1 DP 12/1 ????
The extra distance and the hill will surely benefit TB more.

    Gold Cup
Our Duke's form got a huge plus from pp's win and must go close. Will also have an ew on Killultagh Vic and a few cent ew on Double Shuffle

    Foxhunter
    Wonderful Charm

    Grand Annual
    Bouvreuil ew

Hopefully it's a profitable final day

Am I the only one that thinks Definitly Red stands out big time here?

Loves the ground, has won at the course on the ground and stays all day.

I would love Might Bite to win but when you consider the ground, the unpredictability of a head case and the unpredictability of horse racing in general, I just can't bring myself to back him.

Could well be a race for the sloggers, and Definitly Red is the one that's most appealing.

I've heard third hand that the owners are very confident about his chances.

In saying that, I've backed our Duke.

Basically breaking even so far. Some near misses. I've got lots of antepost bets riding on Friday but the big one is Our Duke at 11/1 and 10/1 for 10pts each.

    1.30 Stormy Ireland

    2.10 Spiritofthegames

No antepost on the Albert Bartlett. I'll look again tomorrow to try find something. I was looking at Poetic Rhythm as a really tough sort.

    3.30 Our Duke

Foxhunters is always difficult to assess but Volnay de Thaix looks a bit overlooked. High class on his day, I should hope the ground won't be too bad for him. 20/1 looks a fair price for him.

    4.50 Blow By Blow

    5.30 Bouveruil

This looks like my best day all week.

Yeah, I think himself, mulcahy Hill and poetic rythem have great chances.

Tis the year of the filly. Stormy Ireland will show that there's another Mullins monster mare. I'll be backing her for a cosy pillar to post and she will be winning that one by 10 plus lengths. I'll get to the rest tomorrow. My pockets will be too full to hold any more cash after that, so I'll probably be forced to sit it out.

  • Registered Users Posts: 298 ✭✭handsfree2

    I've gone with the following

    Mr Adjudicator 8/1
    Mulcahy Hill. 40
    Maybe Chesterfield 18
    Our Duke 5
Probably unioniste or grand vision both around 18
    Early doors 10
    Probably three stars 14

He’s very soft, he’ll gallop all day but when something comes upsides he’ll fold into himself. Will go well I think but could get worried out of it up the hill.

Time to burn my profits for the week - bets so far:
    14.10 Smaoineamh Alainn e/w
14.50 Poetic Rhythm e/w, Enniscoffey Oscar win
    15.30 Road to Respect e/w
    16.10 Wonderful Charm win
16.50 Melrose Boy e/w, Flawless Escape win
Some small stakes long odds double/trebles combos with Apples Shakira, Santini, Foxrock, North Hill Harvey, Killultagh Vic and Native River.
Got a day off work as well to sit and enjoy the racing.

Our Duke is a hilarious price.

It's the worst Gold Cup I can remember but I still give him no chance.

His jumping surely won’t hold up. You can’t make mistakes like he does and win a Gold Cup, I’d be surprised if he gets round.

    Will probably win now. :pac:

2 winners yesterday thanks to Elliott :)

    Apple's Shakira
    Santini
    Road to Respect
    North Hill Harvey

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,569 ✭✭✭2ndcoming

Might Bite and Road To Respect mental prices, ye can have a serious cut on both e/w.

Apples Shakira hammered but hard to see it beat.

Big handicaps stick a pin in the board. Ideally one with Gordon Elliott or Davey Russell's face on it. Honestly though think the English will save some face tomorrow.

    Happy punting lads and ladettes.

The random chap that won the 'Pick7' today, has just uploaded his selections for Friday, couple of 20/1 in among them.

    e.g. Minella & Gino double is @400.

Assuming it wasn't just lucky picking on Thursday (it may well have been).

Would be tempted to run a (min stake) tin of 'Super Heinz' for seven (ew), just the laugh.
That would probably total about 2m or so.

Just building a super heinz now, before linking to check the odds. T-10.

Slight correction it wasn't pick7 it was lucky7 with that other outfit.
fella is called: James Hays, anyone know him? lol

Other note, using an Alt for 13:30 using W/O as a risk eliminator/place enhancer (he went with AS, too short).

Edit: odds are <439,000/1 using a replacement for the 13:30 (439k rtn, when compiled from the x240 beans via the bare min allowed).

Slight complication, ok so this was the only fella that managed 6/7 wins on Hills
    https://lucky7.williamhill.com/your-selections?id=115038_ZK

But over on the SKy, two folks managed the same 6/7,
another three managed an even more impressive 6wins + the 7th placing.
...but their link unavailable as still being verified.

Best plan would be wait for their additional data to be presented, then compile the Heinz based on any correlation between the six of them.
Reckon about 100,000 folks would enter these free competitions, well because they're free.
