They seem to be expecting it:
Indeed Diamond specialises in rehabilitating players considered toxic by other clubs. He signed Danny Cipriani in 2012 when his reputation was at all-time low following a controversial spell with the Melbourne Rebels while this season he has signed Australian bad boy James O’Connor, who was arrested last year on suspicion of buying cocaine, and England wing Marland Yarde, who was driven out of Harlequins last year. Handling the fallout that will follow Jackson’s arrival may prove to be his biggest challenge yet.

I imagine the fuss will mostly be on this island

Really? Who are people going to protest to?

Bit of a stinker for AJ McGinty. By all accounts he's developed into the very good flyhalf we thought he'd become. Wouldn't be very happy seeing Jackson arriving

Wow - have Sale totally cooled their interest in Folau? Adding these two, maybe still Folau, and with Denny Solomona already at the club - they'll be popular!

Hopefully they can start to rebuild their careers from here on.

Will MacGinty be in the white of Ulster next season?

    Isn't Cipriani still there?

Anyone that will listen I’d think, probably other outraged people. Personally I’m happy for them as I think they got a raw deal but that argument has been done to death at this stage

Ah there has to be a focus. Otherwise it'd be like Father Ted and Dougal outside the cinema. :D

So they probably need Jackson. JOC can play other positions than ten and probably should.

I don't think so - reports that MacGinty was instrumental in getting Jackson there - apparently they're good mates.
Turn about for starting in the 10 shirt and playing other positions on the odd off day. Olding in as utility back to replace Addison.

Shouldn't all this be in the General Rugby Discussion thread? Dunno what it has to do with Ulster.

Ah here you're taking the p*ss now.

They're ex-Ulster players who were just released a couple weeks ago, how could you possibly say this has nothing to do with Ulster.

    Wasn't aware of that, thanks.

Great for the boys. Hope they win the premiership and CC, providing an Irish team don't make it. Hope they make as much cash as they can.
If the IRFU ever came calling, in an emergency, I hope PJ tells the to **** off.

Maybe he just likes signing cheap players/ players with very little bargaining power.

Yeah. And prepared to ride out whatever storm that comes in the knowledge that they've got themselves a few bargains. At least the lads have got jobs for themselves quickly enough, so they can get back to playing rugby.

Yeah McGinty is good friends with the two lads. He's actually one of the members of a certain infamous WhatsApp group. Thankfully for him one of the silent majority in it

I'd really hope Jackson is smarter than that.

But it won't be an issue.

You haven't got the Lotto numbers for Saturday by any chance?

Not so much, judging by the comments under that.
