Yeah a mic is helpful but in fairness you could join a squad and just stick together.

Mic is defo a plus and people might actually like you so you can get regular gaming buds. But as ZiabR said if you don't have a mic just really try your best to stay close to them likely hood is they are 3 and your the spare so follow them and help as much as you can dropping spare health pack, ammo, pick them up in a vehicle, suck them o... Just make yourself helpful :D:D

Yiz are making me all regret buying it cause it looks as though you really need the mic :pac:

whatever about a mic, if you're not playing it with headphones, you're putting yourself at a major disadvantage, the sound design adds a real extra dimension to this, and is majorly important for locating people.

Beats sure may as well not use a headset trololol... Yeah as stone said to hear a car pull up close to your house or a guy open a door or looting up stairs big big help I'd imagine you'd have to tune your ear piece to balance the volume so that might be a right auld pain for ya

I personally find it very annoying when playing in a team when no one has a mic or head set, if a person gets shot you have no idea where they were hit from and can't tell so reviving them becomes a big gamble then, after a couple of games I usually have found one or two players with head sets and try and get in a party with them and add them as a friend for future games but I've found over half of the people don't use a headset so it won't be too much of a big deal.

The building textures seem to have gotten worse lately, waiting outside buildings for 30 seconds before I can go into them is very annoying. Very happy with all the updates so far though, didn't expect weekly updates when I first got it.

would you not just use the LFG and find a group with mics?

You playing on the One, One S or One X?

On the One X i think the game is running alot better in recent weeks since the patches have hit.

I've tried that on the xbox groups in xbox live and I got one yesterday. 90% of the time I've tried I've been waiting 10-15 minutes for a response and then they're closed off so found it very frustrating, just end up going on a normal squad game then and hoping to get someone.
Unless I'm doing it wrong, should probably just try and join loads of them instead of one or two but don't want to be spamming people with requests either.

I doubt they will work, I’ll hold off buying anything until after I try out the Bluetooth on the cochlear device.

I have an old loop system somewhere that will hook up to the tv I’m sure so will try that one out too if I can find it..

    Cheers for all the advice

How will the Bluetooth work? Don’t think the Xbox supports Bluetooth headsets

It’s more for the sound from the tv, basically it can stream just sound from tv and block everything off or you can adjust it so it’s 10/90 30/70 50/50 etc. I will also get a device with it that plugs into any headphone jack and works like a loop..

Agree 100%. I see people on Reddit saying the issue is the **** slow HDD in the original Xbox one. Apparently an external SSD sorts all the issues out.

I thought the lobby area was improved a fair bit, in game seemed same as before TBH.

It is still a long way off but I am seeing slight improvements. I am not really playing the game at the moment but each time I boot it up after a patch or two, I am seeing improvements here and there. I do think there has been a slight frame rate increase.

Played a couple of games last night after the update.

The "sticky" run on left click is definitely an improvement and saving a lot of wear on my thumb and thumbstick!

The issue with d-pad zooms on the map changing weapons seems to have been fixed

Does seem to render slightly faster (one S) but still needs a lot of improvement

It does seem to have messed up inventory control though, after say attaching a scope to a gun it still appears in inventory for some time before finally disappearing. Inventory controls were already clunky and this doesn't help especially when under stress!

Judging from day 1 to now there was times where say you would go to nova and you couldn't even jump a small gap between containers without the lag hitting in causing you to fall... Finding a lot less to no lag recently after the patches never mind actually button fix's and gameplay fix's. (playing on xbox x)

I'd say I'll wait a while to play and let them fix all the issues but that's a lie, even from playing it from day 1 with all buggy lagging problems it still ton's of fun with a squad.

All in all very impressed with all the patches so far only thing I don't like is learning a way of doing something like scoping and they change the functionality of it and how to scope. I'd rather them make an extensive controller guide in options or even a video tutorial for people, than change the functionality based on feedback

The rendering is pretty bad on the old Xbox, I tend to land at the side of an un-rendered(is that a word) and walk through the wall instead of waiting 30 seconds for it to come about and then be shot by someone on an Xbox one x. The weapons do be inside floating on nothing but you can still pick them up..

That said, do the types of weapons change place every match? Like if I was to land in the same house all the time would I get the same weapons?

Completely random and you also have a lvl system so lvl1 items are weak lvl 3 are the best.

Use the link below and see where the best loot areas just note better loot areas will be very busy especially near the flight path its smart to try get a vehicle and drop off the flight path to a high loot area

So found my loop system and gave it a bash last night, basically the audio from the game streamed straight to hearing aids. Jaysus the difference it made.. I heard a fella running down the stairs in a house whereas before I’d be blindsided(still poor with the gun so still died :D) hearing the vechiles and gunshots makes it so much better..

The plane is fûckin loud though!

I don't know if its hurting you or its just an observation but yeah its super loud and makes it very hard to hear vehicles or footsteps because of it so its ment to be if you get me.

Glad you got the sound working.
