Force India's future has me very worried, VJ is a greedy slimeball and he's the type who would see the business fail hanging on to get the right price for himself.

I think the rumour comes why someone who has all the knowledge of Mercedes and a proven track record of developing a championship winning car, can let a team down so hard.

He might have some knowledge of the Mercedes car and how they operate but I am sure that he is also not allowed to use any of the knowledge or share it and we all know it takes more than just one person as well as time to make a championship winning car. It does not happen overnight. Sure here about a great designer like Adrian Newey but it was more than just him that designed the championship winning cars he came up with just he was the person in charge so gets the most recognition.

Things are not going to get better at Williams anytime soon.
    https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/headlines/2018/5/williams_-head-of-aerodynamics-leaves-team.html

When I first started following Formula 1, Tyrell were one of those back markers on the way out. I had little knowledge then about their heritage.
I'm fearful Williams are heading the same way.

    This too shall pass.

The team have no money, VJ has long stopped any investment due to his ongoing legal troubles. They need to sell to avoid collapsing but he's holding on for a better price. I don't think the worst will happen, but it has happened to others before.

Manor being the most recent team it happened too. It could have been saved but greed got in the way and instead the team went bankrupt.

I don't know if this good or bad news, looks the start of some convoluted plan to try and hide assets, like nobody will know. I wonder did he explain the plan to his son by starting off with "I have a cunning plan"

I noticed that Lewis Hamilton was drinking Monster energy drink at one of the races. Maybe they would be the perfect buyer for Force India. I do not know if Lewis bought the drink himself or if they supply Mercedes with there drinks but if they do maybe buying an F1 team that uses Mercedes engines would be mean they get a good deal too. Of course that would depend on how big the Monster energy drinks company is or whoever owns them.

Monster Force F1 team. Not be a bad name.

Rich Energy is a tiny company, they started the speculation about a Force India purchase themselves, it worked I'm sure. Even I googled them to find out what they were about.

Take a look at the tax filings on the UK companies house website for evidence they don't have the resources to buy anything, never mind an F1 team.

Nothing any f1 driver is filmed consuming or wearing is not an endorsement. I’d imagine there is water or some sort of fluid for hydration that the team makes in them big branded bottles they drink out of.

They do look very similar in some ways but also quiet different too.

Would love to see both of them side by side.

Exactly that. Caffeine and all the shyte in those drinks us the last thing they would drink before a race. Its probably just water and dioralyte or something similar.

They have their specialised drinks set up by their nutritional experts and simply added to branded bottles, like the RedBull bottles are defo not filled with RedBull at the grid.

wasn't his car FUBAR for half Monaco when he was doing his "one of the greatest drives of all time" stint

At least his Grid Penalty barring a mechinal failure or Accident at the start guarantees some overtaking during the race.

given all the upgrades that are due form teams in canada I wouldn't be surprised if there are lots of people taking penalites

On the Drinks thing...may be thats whats happening MaxV he picked up the bottles marked redbull with redbull in them and not one filled with water. would explain some of the rash decisions

I'm calling it now, Hamilton edges out Vettel in quali to take his qualifying record to 7 poles from 11 attempts, but Ferrari have better race pace on the soft-as-sh*t tyres. Oh, and Stroll retires due to brake failure.

Surprise result. Bottas to chalk up a win.

That's hilarious. I just assumed they were another energy drink company with money to burn. But as Skipper_G linked, they had £581 in their bank account at September 2017. And that's not a typo, not £581,000 or £581 million.

I think Harika Energy should put in a bid next :)
