Didn't mean to sound sarcastic :pac:

    On another note.
What I found strange over the past 2 races was, His pace seems to have disappeared all of a sudden.
Leading up to this he legged it away in front, but now he seems to be just about holding place.

    Mick.
I have been watching him more than n=usual since his surge in performance sort of mid season.
Seems to have dropped off quite a bit.

Young boy needs to learn how to handle pressure. Total normal learning curve here.

Mick Schumacher has won the F3 title.

Delighted for him, have also been keeping track of it. Hopefully he's allowed to keep developing his skills and grow in experience at a normal pace and not catapulted into a situation he might not be ready for because of who his dad is. I'd love to see the guy in F1 at some stage when he is ready for it and when he has gotten there on his own merit.

It's hard to even imagine the pressure on him. The son of the most successful F1 driver of all time.
So much more pressure on him than was on Bruno

Caved in and got F1 2018. Just crashed out of the lead as Vettel in my first race in Australia - seems like they've got the accuracy of this one down! :-)

I might pick it up sometime. Last F1 game I got was for my XB360 a good few years ago.

As for an hypotetical race in Ireland...infrastructures aside or lack thereof, in terms of public it wouldn't be that far fetched, especially considering the substantial international community. Would need to be reasonably close to Dublin however and separated in time from other events...or the risk is that it'd end up like the Phoenix Grand Prix, with more people attending a nearby Ostrich festival than the GP. Can see this happening with something like the ploughing thing

You could sell 100,000 tickets for such an event if it were feasible. I think the interest would be major. It would require the construction of a track and spectator facilities at a suitable venue funded from the private sector. Not much possibility of that ever happening.

Maybe in a couple of years there might be less pressure on him if Hamilton becomes a 7 time world drivers champion.

    Peace and long life.

Lol would you stop, we cant even get people to go to a free race (Phoenix park). Barely can fill the Aviva when the Irish football team play.

Phoenix park racing is finished now isn't it?

Wehrlein signed for mahindra in fe so the toro rosso options shrink again.

I don't think many F1 fans will be disappointed with that news.

Good for Hartley fans, as this increases his chances of staying in F1. Or RedBull buys out Albon from his contract. Or do we get a dark horse like Mick Schumacher?

Kubica if Williams stick with Sirotkin?

Nah that is a rumour that won't die. Renault and Williams haven't promoted him to a race seat after a lot of testing, why should TR now take him?

    $$$$$$$$

Unless they promote Gelael from his test job who else do they have?

    RedBull has the money.
Hartley or Buemi are still with them.

I know Beumi is the registered reserve for both RB and TR but is he basically not full time Formula E driver now?

Renault had the option of a talented young driver in Sainz so probably didn't feel it was worth the risk. Kubica out-performed both Sirotkin and Stroll in every test last winter, but they had a mountain of cash that he didn't.

You never know what the testing program was, if it would be really true, they should jump on him for next year, take the money and put him into a race seat. Still they don't do it. There is very likely a reason for that they snatched Russell.

Team with Mercedes engines takes a young Mercedes contracted driver......yep theres a reason.

Nah, he got the drive purely on race merit :pac: I have to say, it was great watching both Lando and George fighting it out in Formula 2...very enjoyable.

What is a shame is that Markelov won't be in a race seat in F1 next year and will probably have to wait out another year or two before Renault have a place for him. I'm a big fan of Hulkenberg, but would like to see what Markelov could do in that seat. And then Jack Aitken might come along and bounce Markelov. It's a tough game in F1.

I think this news ends the Markelov F1 dreams

I used google translator for this article.

    https://www.przegladsportowy.pl/motosporty/formula-1/robert-kubica-blizej-powrotu-do-formuly-1-orlen-zainwestuje-w-williamsa/6dg6fgh

The Grove team has already announced that one of the cars will be talented George Russell, who enjoys Mercedes support. The second chair is free. Western media speculate that the British are no longer interested in employment, neither Sergei Sirotkin, nor Artiom Markiełowa and do not rule out that they will reach for Kubica. However, they need to close the budget. It is unofficially said that they are missing 40 million zlotys and that Orlen will fill the gap. In return, the team's driver would be Kubica, and the logo of the Polish company will appear on the car.

He is, and a full time WEC driver. And a potential championship winner in both. Can't see him giving them up for a midfield F1 drive.

Is it worth getting if you've F1 2017? It's currently on sale on Steam.

I'm enjoying the game play on F1 2017, but the lack of information about other cars after races annoys me a lot. No info on retirements, tire usage, lap chart etc. Grand Prix 2 had all that 20 years ago.

Lots of good points, like how FE is developing to impact F1 thinking and how the market is changing rapidly with NASCAR and F1 suffering from declining and ageing viewership.

If they had it not locked into exclusive Sky coverage thats how you fix declining viewership.

Reality is if people want to watch something they will find the cheapest way of doing it. Sky are not the cheapest way. I got into F1 as a young lad watching it on RTE I'm sure others here are the same.
