That's two poor clearances from our 22 nearly blocked

What was POM bring the refs attention to?

Bit of boldness on the deck from the argies, forearm in the face

Lot of long passages of very physical play. Gonna be a tough day at the office for the pack.

The Argentinian dummy runners should be penalised. They are constantly obstructing Irish defenders looking to work across.

Scrappy second half to this first 40

Joes reasons for starting Farrell becoming apparent

Yes it's conservative Joe's typical Leinster bias all over again.

    Oh hang on...

    :D

Great half of rugby. Showed lots there. I like this team a lot.

Decent 1st half, some nice breaks, hands and offloads

Sexton's not looked happy throughout the half whatever is up with him, he's had a couple of iffy moments mixed with brilliance. Farrell and Kearney the best of the backs, backrow doing well. Lineout and scrum humming along nicely.

Think we're overplaying a bit. We ran three or four loop plays in those last few minutes. Lost a bit of structure and we're forcing it.

But overall it was a positive first half performance. Argentina struggled to match Ireland's pace and missed a lot of tackles.

Just there before the break did anyone else see when James Ryan forced to play scrum half and he just reached down and casually picked the ball up with one hand like he'd just found a delicious apple lying on the ground in an orchard?

I know Ireland train at a pretty fierce level so I think they can keep this up.

I'll be impressed if the Argues can, everyone looked proper bolloxed at the end of the 40.

We are looking really good, but not really threatening their line much. Reckon we could run up a big score as they tire though.

Really liking how we (and scotland earlier) are keeping it alive, offloading and looking for support runners, a total change from two years ago.

They could do with him alright.

    Kearney has been very good.

I think ultimately our mainline centres will be Aki, Henshaw and Ringrose. But Farrell is doing himself a world of good. Think he's leapfrogged Marshall and maybe McCloskey.

Those poor Argentinians look frozen with the cold.

    Frozen. Frozen altogether.

    Centres are probably:
    12: Aki, Mc Closkey
    12: Ringrose, Farrell
    Both: Henshaw

    Nightmare stuff for Argentina

    Stockdale is a special player.

Stockdale's taken a great line there... but Christ that Argentina defense was static

That is a brilliant kick from Sexton to get an extra 2 points.

The longer Ireland take during our breaks, the colder and more miserable the Argentinians get

By my reckoning, Stockdale will retire from the Irish national team in around fifteen years with approximately 150 tries to his name.
