I'm disgusted by this. Neither of them have bigger tits than Dobbo.

    Shanley is an annoying bastard.

I'll just continue getting the news from boards.

Bad day? That is pretty unnecessary!

Perry did a piece during the US election where she went to a trendy cafe full of beards and Macs to interview Hillary Clinton supporters. Where did she go to interview Trump supporters? A gun show.

    Hoo-rah motherfuckers!

I don't eat fruit or vegetables. Neither do my peeps. Apples are bad for you!

Perry's rabid anti-Trump "reporting" from Washington has paid off

    Me and Caitriona are besties

People just want to make a f*cking issue about every little f*cking thing, don't they?

Since when is the issue of equality and discrimination "a little f*cking thing"?

Caitriona Perry is still bangable, the other one not so much.

Surely they could have found some younger, more attractive women?

Who would you have givin it to

I see no issue with any 2 people getting it if they are good enough. Most people who are "outraged" about 2 women on the News are only doing it to seem cool when in all honesty ye do not give the slightest crap.

As I said I have no issue who gets the news but I am a bit surprised with Catriona Perry getting it as a reporter I was not sure she had any experience with doing a news program.

Keelin Shanley has done Prime Time Crimecall and does the News at One so she has particular experience.

I'm sure they both have lovely bottoms not that we'll see them.

    Great coup for RTE.
2 presenters for the price of Dobbo and the sisters are celebrating

    Aengus MacGrianna?

FYI, it appears that David McCullagh off Prime Time turned down the role. So a man was offered first.

Why do they need two people. One would be enough. For goodness sake it's only an hour.

They'll be grand so long as they don't get in the way when we're trying to check out Sharon.

I know. The poster was, or seemed to be, intimating that she will be still on Six One

Did she go to a gun show to find Trump supporters because that's where they were?

Imagine the outrage if two men had been chosen.

This is great. We're at the stage where the first stated reaction is to imagine outrage.

They don't do news bulletins like they used to:

Our first reaction has to be "Will these appease our feminist overlords on twitter" cause it only takes one of them to twitch their Katie Hopkins antennae and tomorrow's headlines read Outrage at Overcompensating RTE.

    I like Shanley on Crimeline

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,495 ✭✭✭✭eviltwin

Keelin Shanley is an excellent presenter already used to news covering Primetime as well as the Morning Ireland and Sean ORourke shows on the radio.

Catriona Perry is not who I would have expected and I am surprised they gave her the role over more experienced presenters. I would have thought Ray Kennedy would have been a great choice and he already has proved his calibre.

Sounds about right if you were trying to find a few of each no?

I've jerked off to Keelin Shanley, not to Catriona Perry though.

    There, I said it.
