We are finished as a team. Total wipe out now needed.

I decided to come back to see what the reaction was, and I see this. I'm off again, because I think this is the most idiotic comment I've ever seen on the internet.

Will we win the All Ireland with this crop of players who have failed time and time again over the years? We have a rugby guy involved in the background team. What does he know about hurling? We will see next weekend how we perform against kilkenny but I don't think we will get the desired result. The players are semi chokers at best and we must accept that for now and look to the future of Cork hurling.

You have a former professional athlete as the high performance lead. He isn't there for the hurling part of it. Like when flannery worked as a strength and conditioning coach at arsenal.

    What is your solution?

Are there 30 better players in Cork that you'd put on the panel?

Take last years league for example, same results pretty much, lost 4 games and won 1, and I can imagine the chat on here was the same as now, all doom and gloom but then it was a completely different team in the championship, back to back Munster titles and were in touching distance of the all ireland final

I know its not ideal to be losing league matches but its not the end of the world

We had Matthews over the Cork team as a fitness coach in 2013 and he was meant to know his stuff on cardio and conditioning and as we found out Clare were no 1 at that in the final that year. High performance and all and we were 2nd best that day because Clare were conditioned better and were fitter than what Matthews had Cork. High performance profiles dont mean nothing if you can't hurl on the day. Howlett won't make Cork any better than what they are now.

Why is a county with 30 senior all Irelands having this problem? Is quality not there all of a sudden?

Touching distance is frustrating and that's why they have to be called chokers here along with Myler who is so out of depth . 6 point lead and we press the self destruct button and boom we are out of the semi final.

It's worth a try now to try new players. They can't do any worse than what we have at present with no All Irelands going into our 14th year without one.

Galway were in touching distance of an all ireland for a few years in a row, they blew up a good lead a few times, but people weren't calling out for a complete change in players, they kept at it and got the rewards

Galway haven't changed. They just about got over Waterford in 2017 and then put in another Non performance in last years All Ireland final. You couldn't trust them and this Cork team are similar. You just can't guarantee a performance for the full 70 mins week in , week out. I think they ll be much better in the Championship again but ultimately they ll have to go one step further than last year to prove to people they have consistancy

I think Cork are doing fine in this league, finding a couple of players was all that was needed and they’ve done that

Fully expect Cork to win the All Ireland in August

276k in 5 days raised for Kieran O'Connor. incredible going in fairness

    No totally serious.

Couldn't be in a better position to go and win it. Panel is after getting so much stronger

True we won't know for a while yet. I'm convinced though this could be the year

When is the club championship kicking off?

I heard that the board now thinks there's too many teams in senior and want to introduce a senior A and senior B championship?

I was convinced in 2013 2017 and 2018 they would do it but not anymore. They are done as a team.

Balls but he can have no complaints. Thought there was a rule introduced a few years ago about serving suspensions in the competition you were sent off in?

Cork ladies v Donegal on Saturday will be shown on the LGFA facebook page.

Life without Hoggie will be interesting. Add Harnedy not being there and kk must be pretty big favourites.

KK have named a pretty experimental team so don’t know how it will go

They have but I cant see that Cork team winning up in kk. Kearney being back should help, but I cant see us scoring enough.

And you are the one thinking Cork will win an All Ireland this year. Doesn't matter if they are are short a player or two. They must adjust and be good enough if they want to win an All Ireland. Kilkenny are at best the 4th best team in Ireland at theoment and if we can't beat them then we can go and forget about winning All-Irelands.

Winning or losing today makes no difference to anything for championship. The only thing these games are doing are allowing for individual performances where players can try move up the pecking order within team/panel
