Job done, plenty to build on and still plenty to scratch your head at.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,501 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Very happy with that. Work rate and determination was great.

Dalton, Meade and O'Flynn were very impressive. Jack O'Connor as well.

Spillane in the backline made a big difference.

I think this result will really bring us on well now. It feels like we righted the ship and now we look to go on further.

    Good win for the hurlers.

Maybe alot of the negativity surrounding them is warranted at times, but they won well today and never looked like losing.

Hopefully some will give them a bit of credit. Before saying we will lose next week:pac:

One swallow doesnt make a summer
For Cork to be a serious team, they need to put one of the big guns away with minimal fuss. We will see how good they are next day out.

Fantastic stuff, delighted to be proven wrong.

    Last week might be blessing

    Never said it did.

The hurlers are not up to it and will be knocked out of championship this weekend. A dark weekend for Cork GAA ahead.

I know if Cork lose next week, you will be in here beating them. If they win, you will post something similar about waiting till the next day.

I reckon if Cork won Liam you would post saying it was only because other teams were so poor.

Just accept that it was nice to see Cork win a game of hurling.

It is okay to give them a little credit.

Clare would be our best bet to get drawn against. Then Wexford but we don't want Tipp yet. We would give it a go but you would think they might be a bridge too far yet. Get another win before them and we might be in good nick though then.

The thing is though, Clare, Wexford and Tipp will probably want to draw us.

As I said, I think this win will really drive us on a bit now so at least we have a bit of spirit back and a lot more determination. That has to be a good thing.

Ref did his best to make it hard for us today, good win

Good win. Decent performance. Work rate very good. I think Meade brings a lot in midfield. Never understood why he was in and out of the team. Nice to see a bit of hunger for goals when opportunities arose, albeit only getting one.

That should have been a free in there for Kingston not a free out!

This was going to be another but was like a chop tackle! Ref gave a free out?!!

More like a Rugby tackle. Shocking decision. Baffling.

Its not really. Paper over cracks. Let's face it. Dublin were poor. Cork marginally better. Next week will reveal where they are as a team. If we couldnt beat Dublin today we had no business in the championship playing against the Galways Limericks Kilkennys and Tipps.

I know it's not Cork GAA but it is related.

Saoirse Noonan, fresh after getting the crucial goal against Kerry yesterday is playing soccer for Cork City Women in the National Cup Semi Final and I just saw that she has already got 2 goals and it is still the first half.

That is some scoring. She definitely knows where the goal is no matter the sport!

Cork 0-12 Galway 0-15 FT. Cork into a 1/4 final next weekend in PUC.

    Camogie lose 15 v 12.

Galway were good, particularly their defence. 2 Galway sideline cuts gave them an edge.

They go to the semis with kk, we play in the quarters next weekend.

Luke Connolly out, Paul Walsh in. Missing Connolly will massively reduce our scoring threat from play and frees

If we can stay within 5 points here I'll be delighted

Within 10 points and I would be happy! We have a bit of possession but no where near their goal. I don't think that will change. They will pull away by half time. Hope I am wrong though

Somehow level at the water break. We are very slow in our build up compared to Kerry.

Kerry play an awful awful style of football

It's the style think will beat Dublin, plain and simple.

Have been saying it for the last 2 years, I cannot understand how Flahive starts on this team

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,089 ✭✭✭zetecescort

Delighted to go in 1 up, things looked very bad after the start Kerry made

Super from Cork today. Deserving of the draw. Might sneak it yet!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,089 ✭✭✭zetecescort

Why bring on Keane at ff and never kick it into him?
