I actually prefer Sarah's brand. It's Interflora but for sweets. It's different, and the shelf life is much longer than flowers, but she'll need to sell thousands to just turn a profit.

I got my current job through a recruitment firm specialising in IT talent but even then I'm having difficulty summoning any interest in James.

Also, aside from Michaela, Sarah is lumbered with a really crap team.

Edit: did James take a line of coke before his pitch. He was giggling all over his pitch.

I started Whois lookups on the various domains for both sides during the episode. I hit on one side, but not the other. If one won, their brand has changed from the broadcast.

    WTF

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,263 ✭✭✭robyntmorton

Ooooh! Interesting. Found the domain for James, but not for Sarah.

    Has that happened before?

    AFAIK, that’s a first!

Very glad I didn't bother watching tonight, as I just saw on Digital Spy that he went and Hired them both... Eh, what? That's stupid. The whole point of the show is to find one winner.

I'm just annoyed I didn't quit watching weeks ago. Very unlikely I'll be tuning in next season.

****e ending to a ****e series 😡 I was roaring at the telly when James was coming up with his name, any moron would have known that it should have been Top Tier and it sounded more like a showbiz talent scout than a recruitment company.

Sweeteze seems to be a brand of diet pill! So that’s probably why she had to change her domain name.

I read this spoiler on another forum during the week but thought it was a pure wind up!

LOL I wonder is it a reaction to cutting ties with Joseph Valente earlier this year?

Literally only switched on the last 5 minutes Bizarre result

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,930 ✭✭✭jr86

    Has that happened before?

Technically he used to "hire" both didn't he in the old format and ditch one just before he announced the real winner a day or two before the final aired

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,279 ✭✭✭CH3OH

I was just about to post the same thing about Sweeteze..

When coming up with a new name for the business you would think that the first thing you would do is google the name

Sweet eze is a trademark and surely she won't be able to use it

Next year, in the final series of The Apprentice, Lord Sugar delivers another first, in bringing the final two back to the boardroom... and firing them both!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,930 ✭✭✭jr86

Well he obviously has to give someone an investment so that won't ever happen

It's something a bit different to be fair and if he went and invested in one of them off screen it would generate more backlash. if he feels there's two good opportunities why not i guess

Sorry! Forum text doesn’t convey jest very well :pac:

Next year he gives the final five investments. No final episode and we can get everything wrapped up in plenty of time for Christmas.

Well I know you're joking but I could definitely see some kind of shake up to next year - the format has gone quite stale.

This might be a significant moment for the show

Ricky Martin must be making big bucks for Alan so I can see why another employment consultant might win it.

Sarah had a definite USP and if there were Google search stats to back up the supposed interest, her plan was a runner too.

I reckon Alan gets 250k from the BBC to film the show, so I think this time he is actually investing his own money rather than that of the BBC...

Ok, that's fine. Not entirely sure how necessary it is to keep telling the thread though. If you want to watch it do, if you don't then don't.

Gone very stale. Just watched it there on playback. Is Rhod Gilbert on The way out to that new lad in the guest panel?

They badly need to lose Lady Brady. Far better examples of women of industry around than her.

Agreed. They need a business women who is relatively nice to show that not all women in business need to be a B with an itch. Brady is never nice. Her facial expressions would turn a funeral!

With Karren, I always get the impression she is playing to the camera, especially her remarks in the boards. I never felt that about Margaret, Nick or Claude.

Claude is the exact same though, so I'm not sure why you're just focusing on her. Either way, they've both got a role to play, so they both have to play up to it somewhat.

On a separate note, I'd have guessed that Karren is wealthy, but I had no idea to what extent. She's worth over £85 million according to this article

The constant eye rolling and condescending looks is very off putting.

Claude definitely isn't as bad. Every shot I see of Karen is eye roll after eye roll 🙄

After watching 11 weeks of the season and commenting frequently throughout that time on the series, I came in to comment on the result of the final after hearing it because Sugar controversially decided not to choose a winner which defeats the purpose of the format, and then added again that I probably won't watch anymore as a result of a poor season, but that's the only part of my post you decide to focus on. It's not like I stopped watching years ago and keep coming in and commenting on the thread, so chill out and back off. Who made you the thread police anyway? That's a rhetorical question, no need to reply, I've said my piece, so now I'll leave you to dictate who can come and post here yerwanthere123 - I'll make sure the door doesn't hit me on the way out.

    Lordy, what an ott response!

All I was saying is there's no need to repeat yourself. You'd posted the same thing three times inside the last few days. We get it, you think it's a poor series, but the people who post in here are presumably still enjoying it, so no need to keep saying the same thing.

Oh and why did no one pick up that Sarah's usp was that the sweet box fit through the letterbox yet the ad depends on you being at home?
