I can't read a big pile of word's with no paragraphs or anything. OP hasn't explained much. He backed 22 horses in one race..

I'm really interested as to how he is making profit at all. Fair play if you are tho. Very unconventional.

After seven days this is the result of my unscientific experiment.
I missed out on quite a few as I missed the selection or the price had well gone.
Everything I did was at the advised price or slightly less.

    Total bets: 63@25c e/w.
    Total wins: 11
    Total places: 16
    Total investment: €31.50
    Total return: €40.03
    Profit: €8.53

That's about 25%. Not too bad if I was putting on proper money but very time consuming.

The tips are very clear, although there is many. Agree the extended paragraphs and twitter image are tough on the eyes. Interesting experiment.

Mayoman I probably missed somewhere along the line but do you suggest backing all horses e.w?
Very interesting and I will follow on twitter starting on Monday.

    Yes, everything is each way.

To a previous poster saying there is a lot of waffle. Lot of tips. If too many then don't do them all. That sorts that problem.
I'm not going to post results for every race. I have a tracking system that I put horse finishing position into. Adjust odds for any rule 4 changes and thats it. I have 10s of 1000s of results and that database is the only thing I concern myself with. I then throw up the days stats from that. In some cases if a horse was posted twice at a lower price the second time I record the projected value for both tweets and which ever price had the best projected value is the odds I record. Eg today. Lady of the lamp was first tweeted at 17.0 with a value of say 120% ( My behind the scenes rating ) I then tweeted him at 13.0 but his projected value was now at 130%. So regardless if he win or not what ever I record him as a 13.0 shot. It is as if the 17.0 tweet never happened.

Never seen such a load of balls in my life. Every tip is a fav with some load of crap about him being good or bad over certain ground. As if they did any research on him. If your into making money on the ggs then you will know that backing favorites is the mating call of a loser. For the health of some of my accounts I throw in the odd mug bet on a fav. Looking like a mug would be very easy if you follow them guys.

Those lads aren't too bad, but sometimes twitter is best avoided and their full html layout page here: http://www.getyour-tipsout.co.uk/horse-racing-tips-daily-selections.html is a much better way to view. Occasionally do well with the odd Longshot:

Another chap with useful 'outsider' views is 'gg', more often than not his outsider does better than the rest.

I pull data from every available source (circa x30), everything has value in the world of 'big data', even folks sending out 'negative leverage' data is very useful (for avoidance purposes).

Problem I have looking at the page is I havn't a clue what profit they are or aren't making. And tips in every race. What is their strategy? ROI? Verified or otherwise? Surely there can't be value to be had in every race? Anyways they have plenty of followers so they must be getting something right.

About 40 races a day, no thanks.

Op is the one trying to get us on board

He's offering a free service, take it or leave it. What do you want him to do? Compile the results for you and package them up in a nice bundle for you to digest. He also adds winners and placers on Twitter.
I can't read a big pile of word's with no paragraphs or anything. OP hasn't explained much. He backed 22 horses in one race.. I'm really interested as to how he is making profit at all. Fair play if you are tho. Very unconventional.

Reading his posts require minimal effort, something it seems you can't be bothered to do. He has explained what he needs to explain. If you bothered to read his posts then you'd understand.

Seriously, attitudes like this boils my p1ss.

People who can't use paragraphs boil my piss, I can't read a lump of words just thrown together. Another poster agreed with me too.

Why you getting so worked up anyway man, the OP was nice in his response to me.

I followed this today (for the most part) was a struggle at times in work. I put €5ew on all selections with PP. For one selection (lady of the lamp I think) the price had changed dramatically within 1 minute of it being posted. The first set of odds are what they were posted/advised at. I have posted the odds at what I backed them at with PP, more often than not quite soon after posted.

    19.20 - Tanseeq 5/1 - Placed @ 9/2 = + €0.50
    17.25 - Sharps Choice 7/2 - Won @ 7/2 = + €21.00
    14.40 - Archie McKellar 5/1 - Placed @ 5/1 = + €2.00
    19.15 - Presenting Julio 12/1 - Lost @ 10/1 = - €10.00
    17.40 - Canadian Royal 5/1 - Lost @ 11/4 = - €10.00
    19.15 - Nelson Road 7/1 - Won @ 6/1 (PP gave me SP of 8/1) = + €50.00
    17.40 - Lady of the Lamp 16/1 - Placed @ 8/1 = + €3.00
    14.40 - Wadilsafa 15/2 - Placed @ 15/2 = + €2.50
    19.20 - Bowler Hat 8/1 - Lost @ 11/2 = - €10.00
    14.40 - Merlin Magic 9/4 -Lost @ 2/1 = - €10.00
    14.40 - Airmax 66/1 (with Pokerstars???) - Missed this bet (Lost @ 50/1 SP)
    19.15 - Grand Canyon 20/1 = Lost @ 14/1 = -€10.00
    17.25 - Lex Talionis 12/1 = Lost @ 8/1 = - €10.00
    19.50 - Jousi 7/1 = Placed @ 5/1 = + €1.25
    19.20 - Glendevon 20/1 = Missed this bet ( Placed @ 10/1 SP)
    20.20 - Man Jaam 40/1 = Lost @ 40/1 = - €10.00
    18.55 - Teachers Pet @ 10/1 = Lost @ 9/1 = - €10.00

Net profit of €0.25cent for me for the day.

I missed two bets which if I had managed to back both, I would have lost for the day.

Struggle to see how anyone other than the OP will get the price posted on every horse as a couple of times the price changed so quickly with the recomended bookie, I had oddschecker open too so often cross checked the adviced price.

As I said before, would like to see the stats using SP.

    To previous poster.
As per a previous post I put up Airmax would have still been value at 50/1 if that price was available.  ie half the odds of 67.0 = 33  so you have a lot of leeway,  up to 33% drop in the odds that you can take and still have a value bet.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,386 ✭✭✭mayoman1973

    @sundance_kid
I dicked about with collecting SP data at the start but there is pretty much no way this system will make a profit taking SP.  Nice tidy systems like that are the stuff of dreams where you click SP on the bookies website and watch the readies roll in.  Betting has evolved into a high tech game of cat and mouse with the bookie. From glancing at SPs on racing post when I'm checking results vast majority of prices have shortened so to the point where there can't be any value left in taking the SP.
Ye pretty much matched my results today and you are correct in saying there is no way you will get on all the nags I get on at the price I get all of the time. Certainly not all the higher odds ones but as I said these are the ones which have the best value. Rem I have 5 or 6 friends filling their boots each time one pops up before I post the nags name on twitter so Willy or Stan or who ever it maybe has an early indication that something is out of whack.

  • Registered Users Posts: 485 ✭✭eric hoone

Obviously the most difficult thing about following the system is acting quickly, especially if you went to take the time to check the nag out before lumping on, the price is often gone by then. Hard to do the due diligence is all

  • Registered Users Posts: 35,731 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

You had 6 horses in the 5.35, a 12 horse race.
    Hydrangea won 25-1
Another place would have been nice too.
    Nice 25-1 winner though .

Out running today so didn't get anything on boards here. Everything was tweeted so if ye still not on the twitter machine then time to change that.  Still,  I see I got a PM telling me these tips were generated via use of a dartboard and a blindfold. Every one is entitled to their opinion ...  That was right after 2nd or third race with good few picks and nothing to show.  Well , roll on 3 hrs later and a 5.50, 26.0 and another 26.0 winner I wonder ( assuming the person in question is following the thread ) does he still think it's just luck?
Days stats to follow when I'm done counting ......

Yea,  the higher odds will always produce better profits long term.  Can't understand that cause sure outsiders never win.  Everyone knows that !!!!
Plenty of races today with 5 or more picks in them.  If you think such a silly strategy could never produce a profit then you would have made £0 today.  Instead if you managed to get on all the over 20.0 odds tips with £10 ew,  and there was a lot of them,  you would have staked £420 and won £720.  Most of the prices hung about for far longer than they would normally  during the week.
    Today: 42 picks, 84 pts staked, returns 139pts, +55pts
    Overall: 273 picks, 546pts staked, Bank = +228pts.

    Overall: 273 picks, 546pts staked, Bank = +228pts.

That works out around 140.425531914894% ROI (roughly), which isn't bad, especially if it's continuous and constant.

Interesting to see that the %ROI picks would have been using small groups(arrays) of placepots instead e.g. triple/fourfolds.

I'd only do mixed accumulators e/w so haven't been following as per this methodology, but did notice a few price go very short (just after) the mayolad made the selection/recommendation which usually a good sign.

The 17:25 may be of interest to him tomorrow, 5pl and a batch of large prices (at least a dozen) all between 100-200/1. Still a large field of 33c though.

Unfortunately I can tell you now that ROI of 41% will not hold.  I don't like it being that high cause it means a correction is coming down the tracks. And I don't like them corrections.  But 273 is a very small sample size so takes a while for profit graph to settle but its easier on the pocket to converge towards the expected profit margin from a point that is too high than it is from a point that is too low.

Followed the system again today, a bit easier as not in work but still with a lot of selections you need to be alert as they are posted throughout the day.
Again, I am only bettting with my PP account and not using multiple bookies accounts.

A few times a horse was advised twice to back, maybe it represented value again later on in the day when advised to back again. However I did not back any horse a second time, I backed it the first time and that was it.

See results below, €5ew on all selections. The first price is the price it was posted at by the OP on Twitter, the second price is what I backed it at on PP, fairly soon after it was posted.

    @sundance_kid ....
Win or lose if you hit paddy with 40 something bets in the same day,  regardless of stake size, most of them high odds,  expect your P45 ... Unless of course you got a few friends around to help you out

Will the bookies be following your tweets at this stage?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,386 ✭✭✭mayoman1973

That is a distinct possibility. Though only few weeks in so early enough days.
Bookies in general have got lazy and fix their prices solely on exchange prices. And stay a few clicks below the exchange price where they can.
